IF you never have enough hours in the day to prepare tasty meals for your family after a busy day at work, you’ve come to the right place.
Luckily for those stretched for time, a savvy mum has shared a brilliant mashed potato hack you won’t want to miss.

Not only have people called it “genius,” but many are stunned they hadn’t thought of it before.
Posting on social media, food lover Ciara Attwell revealed the carb trick she swears by.
Instead of peeling, cutting, cooking and mashing potatoes every time she wants to make mash to go on top of a cottage pie, Ciara came up with a very handy hack.
Ciara, founder of Pick Plates, said: “This frozen mashed potato hack is brilliant for meals like cottage pie.
“The next time you’re making mash, make double and do this.”
After you’ve made your extra portion of mashed potato, you can then freeze it in a tray so in future it’s ready to go straight on top of a cottage pie.
Ciara continued: “Line a dish with parchment paper, add in the mash and freeze for a couple of hours till it’s fairly solid.”
Moments later, Ciara then got her frozen mash out of the freezer and added it straight onto her cottage pie, which could then be cooked from frozen.
Thanks to this trick, Ciara was able to save time making mash as she added: “You can then store it in the freezer in a bag and pop it straight onto your cottage pie and cook from frozen.
“It makes it so much easier to get a homemade meal on the table during the week.”
