PEDRO NETO issued an apology on live TV to the ball boy he SHOVED over during PSG’s demolition of Chelsea.
The Blues and Portugal winger also gave his shirt to the youngster after the ‘heat of the moment’ act that occurred with Chelsea chasing the game.
The winger was desperate to get the ball back as time ticked down in the Champions League last-16 tie, with Chelsea behind by four goals to two.
The ball boy went flying into the advertising boards, which understandably enraged the PSG players.
Neto was clearly frustrated trying to get the ball back from the helper on the side of the pitch, who was in no rush to give it back.
However, most would agree Neto’s reaction was too strong, with Neto himself clearly regretful of the moment.
After the game, the 26-year-old came out to speak to TNT Sports.
The winger said: “I want to say the situation that happened on the pitch with the ball boy.
“I want to apologise. I already spoke with him. It was the heat of the moment.
“We were losing, and I wanted to pick up the ball. I gave him a little push, and that cannot happen.

“I saw that I hurt him; I’m not like this… it was in the heat of the moment; I gave him my shirt. I have to apologise to him.
“I’m really, really sorry about that.
“Straight away I spoke to him and he laughed, he was happy I gave him the shirt and I said sorry like 35 times.
“I didn’t understand his French but he was laughing, so I think he knew it was a heat-of-the-moment thing, and Vitinha told him I’m not like that.”
Neto escaped even a yellow card for the incident and had a pretty good game overall, notching an assist for Enzo Fernandez’s equaliser.
He could, though, face retrospective punishment in the coming week or so.
The situation reminded fans of Blues legend Eden Hazard‘s unwise encounter with the Swansea ballboy back in 2013.
The Belgian launched a kick at the Swansea ballboy during a League Cup semi-final with the Blues trailing.
Hazard would receive a red card for the altercation and incurred a standard three-match ban as a result.
