A MUM and dad have been charged with sexually assaulting their one-year-old child and neglecting two other children.
Kinga Wydrzynska, 25, and Michal Stasiak, 27, previously appeared in court having been charged with murder and causing or allowing the death of a child.
The 13-month-old girl died after suffering a cardiac arrest at the family home in the New Bilton area of Rugby, in Warwickshire.
Now, Wdyrzynska and Stasiak have appeared before magistrates in Leamington charged with further offences.
The pair were both charged with two counts of sexual assault by penetration in relation to the one-year-old tot that died.
Wdyrzynska and Stasiak were also charged with three counts of assault/ill-treat/neglect/abandon a child/young person to cause unnecessary suffering/injury against the 13-month-old child that died.
They were also charged with these offences in relation to two other children.
Stasiak had also been charged with possession of indecent images.
The alleged material includes 63 under the most serious Category A, 23 Category B images and 14 classified as Category C.
Wydrzynska and Stasiak were remanded into custody and will next appear before Warwick Crown Court on January 9.
The pair are currently due to stand trial at Warwick Crown Court in October 2026.
Police scrambled to the home at 4.37am back in January following reports that a baby was in cardiac arrest.
The baby was rushed to hospital but tragically couldn’t be saved and was declared dead shortly after.
