BEST Actress Oscar nominee Jessie Buckley has said she prefers wearing battered old tracksuits to getting glammed up for awards bashes.
The 36-year-old Hamnet star has spent the last few months attending a string of ceremonies — but admits she struggles with the clothes.
Jessie said: “Fashion is kind of intimidating. I do wear just tracksuits with holes in them at home.
“When I’m ground zero, nobody would really want to even come near me.
“I just want to be comfortable when I’m at home in my own space.
“Then you go into fittings and these incredible pieces of art are presented and you have to get into them.

“And for me, it can either feel on top of you or something that you feel free.
“It’s been such an interesting moment having to come into this award season as a new mom, my body changing and breastfeeding, stopping breastfeeding and finding a way to not hide in clothes, but actually let myself be seen.”
But Jessie put aside her reservations to help kick off Oscars weekend in style at Chanel’s pre-awards party.
Other guests at the bash in Los Angeles included Kristen Stewart, Lily-Rose Depp, Lauren Bezos, Mick Jagger and his fiancée Melanie Hamrick, and Jeff Goldblum with his dancer wife Emilie Livingston.
Jessie was the hot favourite to win the Best Actress award last night for her portrayal of Agnes Shakespeare alongside fellow Irish star Paul Mescal.
She was up against Bugonia star Emma Stone, Song Sung Blue’s Kate Hudson, Rose Byrne for If I had Legs I’d Kick You and Renate Reinsve, who was nominated for Sentimental Value.
Jessie had already won best actress awards at this year’s Baftas and Golden Globes for her performance.
It marks an incredible rise to the top for the Irish actress, whose career began on BBC talent show I’d Do Anything in 2008.

NICOLE Kidman partied with her daughters then headed to morning mass.
She was joined by Sunday, 17, and Faith, 16, her girls with singer ex Keith Urban, at Chanel’s pre-Oscars dinner on Saturday.
Nicole, 58, said there: “This is crazy but I’ll squeeze in church. It centres me.”
