Wardley, 30, has now insisted that he would love to fight the WBA (Super), WBC, and WBO heavyweight champion in his own backyard.

The Suffolk brawler boasts a record of 20-0-1 with 19 knockouts and claimed the WBO interim world title by beating Parker.

That is added to his WBA interim strap but he has his eyes on even more.

He is expected to be next in line to take on Usyk who has an impeccable record against British boxers.

Usyk tormented both Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury by beating them both twice.

He is currently 24-0 with 15 knockouts.

The two could come face-to-face in the ring for the undisputed heavyweight crown at some point in 2026.

Wardley will be keen for the venue for the bout to be Ipswich Town‘s Portman Road.

He beat Australian fighter Justis Huni at the EFL stadium back in June in front of a crowd of 20,000.

The ground boasts a capacity of nearly 30,000 which would be expected to be sold out should the fight be booked in.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Wardley said: “If we could get it in Ipswich, that would be fantastic.

“To see Oleksandr Usyk wandering around Ipswich would be quite a funny sight.

“I don’t know if that’s the one that’s going to come off, but if he wants it there, we’ll welcome him with open arms.”

Wardley is often cheered on by his fans in a similar manner to the Tractor Boys.

He added: “This is boxing, not football, but they’re my 12th man on the pitch.

“They’re the extra fire, the extra five or six punches that I need to finish that combination, to get Joe out of there.
