Awoniyi’s injury and the way it was handled led to a furious reaction by Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis

The striker crashed into the post on 87 minutes after trying to convert a brilliant pass from Anthony Elanga on the right flank.

But following several minutes of treatment the Nigeria international returned to action.

Forest told SunSport that was what led to owner Evangelos Marinakis’ furious confrontation with manager Nuno Espírito Santo at full-time.
