A NON-LEAGUE fixture has been abandoned after a player suffered a serious injury.
The injury occurred less than half an hour into the Isthmian League North clash between Concord Rangers and Lowestoft Town.

Rangers defender Callum Knowlden suffered the injury in the 27th minute after “quite a bad landing.”
Play was stopped at Rangers’ Thames Road to allow him to receive treatment, but the decision was ultimately made to call the game off.
A statement from eighth-tier Concord Rangers read: “Unfortunately due to the injury sustained to Callum Knowlden, today’s match with Lowestoft Town has been abandoned.
“We want to wish Callum a speedy recovery and we are with you every step of the way.”
It is unknown exactly what manner of injury Knowlden sustained from the fall.
The unfortunate blow came just hours after the defender was named the club’s Player of the Month.
The Essex outfit’s opponents were quick to offer their support to the injured man.
The posted to their social media: “From everyone associated with Lowestoft Town FC our best wishes go to the player & wish him a speedy recovery & everyone associated with Concord Rangers.”
Rangers, who currently occupy seventh spot in the league table, were hoping to push themselves into the playoff positions with a win over 13th-placed Lowestoft.
The match got off to a frantic start that saw a red card within three minutes for their opponents.
But neither side was able to break the deadlock before the game was officially called off, leaving the scoreline at 0-0 until provisions are made to settle the result.
