NFL star EJECTED for punching rival as tense Bengals-Steelers clash explodes into shocking violent scenes

Pittsburgh star Jalen Ramsey has claimed that he was spat on by a Bengals player, before punching his rival and sparking a mass on-field brawl on Sunday afternoon.

During the fourth quarter of the game, in which the Steelers were leading 20-9, Ramsey clashed with Ja’Marr Chase before throwing a punch in his direction.

The incident came shortly after both Ramsey and Chase had received penalties for unsportsmanlike conduct, having clashing moments earlier during a third-down run.

Evidently, the penalty did little to deter the rivals as, just moments later, they were at eachothers throats following a punch from the Steelers star.

However, Ramsey has since lifted the lid on the situation and claimed that he punched Chase after the Bengals wide receiver spat at him.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Ramsey said: ‘He spit on me. I don’t give a f*** about football after that. Respectfully’.

In retaliation, Ramsey threw a punch at Chase, before the Bengals wide receiver reacted furiously and the duo began squaring up to eachother.

The pair were eventually separated, thanks to the help of offensive and defensive players on both teams, before Ramsey was ejected from the game.

However, even as he was being escorted off the field, Ramsey continued chirping at his Bengals rivals, particularly wide receiver Chase.

At that point, Ramsey had four tackles in the game and had played the entirety of the game at safety for the Steelers.

Chuck Clark replaced Ramsey shortly after the ejection, with Jabrill Peppers remaining safety on the bench for Pittsburgh.

Thankfully for Pittsburgh, the incident didn’t derail their momentum on the night and they managed to hold on and secure a 34-12 victory at the Acrisure Stadium.

The result sees the Bengals fall to 3-7 for the season, while the Steelers move to 6-4.

Pittsburgh will return to action when they take on the Chicago Bears, while Cincinnati will host the in-form Patriots on the same day.
