JOELINTON is set to miss the remainder of Newcastle’s push for the Champions League.
The Newcastle star pulled up in training last Friday and went for a scan over the weekend.
Joelinton has been a key part of Eddie Howe’s side this season, helping the Magpies win the Carabao Cup.
The 28-year-old has bagged 4 goals and 3 assists as Toon push for a top-four finish.
He sat out the 3-0 win over Ipswich on Saturday, the first match he’d missed since suffering a knee problem in February.
The Daily Mail reports Joelinton’s current injury is severe enough to keep the Brazilian sidelined for Newcastle’s four remaining Premier League games.
