STORMING the turnstiles at football grounds will be made a specific criminal offence following the mayhem at Euro 2020.
New legislation comes into force on Sunday in time for the Carabao Cup final at Wembley, when Man City play Arsenal.
Ticketless fans who get inside can be fined up to £1,000 and given five-year bans from matches.
It comes after chaos at the Euro 2020 final, played in 2021 due to Covid, when an estimated 2,000 got into Wembley without a ticket.
Drunken disorder outside the stadium saw yobs fighting in the street — while one stuck a flare up his bum.

Policing Minister Sarah Jones said: “Football fans should be able to enjoy the game without feeling unsafe or threatened.
“We’re giving the police the tools they need to ensure the chaos we saw at Wembley five years ago never happens again.
“Anyone who endangers others by forcing their way into stadiums faces serious consequences.”
Lives were put at risk when supporters broke into Wembley at the Euro 2020 final, a subsequent review by Baroness Louise Casey found.
The Unauthorised Entry to Football Matches Act will also make it illegal to knowingly try to enter a match with forged tickets, passes and accreditation documents
Pretending to be a member of stadium or playing staff will also be illegal.
