DISGRACED Andrew is “forever trapped” by the Epstein scandal, a royal expert has claimed.
The shamed former Duke of York has already faced a number of questions at home and abroad over his links to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Disgraced Andrew broke cover today as he attended the christening of Princess Beatrice‘s daughter and tried to keep a low profile – but he still remains haunted by the Epstein scandal.
Epstein was associated with many well-known figures, and merely being pictured in files related to the disgraced financier is not an indication of wrongdoing by any of the parties mentioned.
The latest snaps were obtained by the committee as part of its ongoing investigation into Epstein’s activities.
They also included pictures of former President Bill Clinton, Steve Bannon, Bill Gates, and others.
None of the released images depict sexual misconduct or are believed to show underage girls.
And it remains unclear when or where the photos were taken, or who took them.
However, Andrew’s presence in the latest cache of photos will only cause further agony and undeserved pain for his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie.
The old photograph shows Bill Gates standing alongside former Prince Andrew at the 2018 Malaria Forum conference in London.
Now, royal expert Ingrid Seward has exclusively told The Sun: “I’m afraid every time Epstein’s name is mentioned, Andrew is going to be mentioned alongside him, and that looks like a forever situation.
“His association with Epstein has actually completely destroyed his life.
And probably destroyed the life of his family.
“It is quite a monumental thing. And of course, Trump is always included, but that’s more of a political thing.
“But Andrew is very, very much in the headlights of this situation… Andrew is the name that really rings bells with people.
“And I think it pricks their interest that a member of the royal family could get himself into such a dire situation.
“Andrew is never, ever going to escape these chains of Epstein now, absolutely not.
“It will always be the scandal that brought down a member of the royal family, more than a scandal that perhaps brought down a former president, or anyone else.
“It’s really Andrew that has been crushed by this, and of course, it’s affected him, and it’s affected very much affected his daughters.”
The royal expert touched on the christening of Princess Beatrice’s youngest daughter Athena on Friday.
Sources had claimed discussions with King Charles beforehand were necessary to facilitate Andrew’s attendance.
“It was still Andrew that had to creep in the back way to the Chapel Royal, to make sure that he wasn’t photographed,” said Ms Seward.
“I mean, it’s a very, very unpleasant situation for everyone that’s remotely concerned with this.”
The royal editor also highlighted how there has been an “inkling of sympathy” for the former Prince, who has been metaphorically “thrown on the rubbish heap”.
Andrew has always strongly denied all allegations against him.
But Ms Seward suggested his refusals to acknowledge any accused involvement is a factor exacerbating his downfall.
She added: “Andrew still says that he was not involved in any way with Virginia Giuffre, but the more he says that, the more ridiculous it seems, because she says he was, and there is that famous photograph of them together.”
Moving forward, to reduce any further shame and embarrassment on the Royal Family, Ms Seward claimed Andrew’s life would have to “change even more radically”.
“He did say he would help charities that were involved in protecting women in very difficult situations, and concentrate on women that have been abused, but he’s done, to our knowledge, anyway, absolutely nothing about it,” she said.
Speaking on how the ex-Duke may feel about the latest photographs being release as part of the Epstein case, the expert suggested he would be “frustrated” and “resigned to it now”.
“But it must still be a fairly desperate feeling, and a desperate situation,” Ms Seward continued.
“But I mean, if he’s got any sense, he just will avoid looking at any of this, because it’s not going to do him any good.
“It’s like a trap that he can’t get out of.
The ex-duke was finally brought to his knees by the scandal engulfing paedophile Jeffrey Epstein and sex abuse accuser Virginia Giuffre.
King Charles ordered Andrew’s membership of the Order of the Garter – said to be the most chivalric order in the land – to be cancelled.
The King has also ordered Andy’s Knight of the Grand Cross of the Royal Victoria Order to be cancelled and annulled.
The official cull comes just weeks after the shamed royal was stripped of his Duke of York and Prince title and agreed to leave Royal Lodge.
But his eviction from Royal Lodge is likely to be delayed until February, because he is struggling to downsize.
Accuser Virginia Giuffre said Andrew had sex with her at Maxwell’s London house in 2001, which he has always strongly denied.
The infamous photo showed him with his arm around the then 17-year-old at Maxwell’s London home in 2001.
Ms Giuffre used it as evidence for her claims she was sexually abused by him, but Andrew denied the allegations and said the photo was doctored.
Andy and Sarah, who have also been forced out of Royal Lodge, attended the christening of Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s 11-month-old daughter Athena at The Chapel Royal.
The disgraced ex-duke and his ex-wife were two of few royals who attended the ceremony – as most of the family stayed away.
The only royal guests spotted at the service included Bea’s sister Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank.
