Time for truth on foreign criminals
IT IS hard to weigh up what is most shocking about figures showing foreign nationals have committed more than 200,000 serious offences in five years.
The failure of Tory and Labour governments to get a grip with a broken asylum system is bad enough.

But the fact that these statistics represent only a quarter of the nation’s police forces means the true scale of offending will be frightening.
The crimes include burglary, sex attacks and more than 120,000 acts of violence against members of the public.
An alarming 32 of the 43 forces provided no data, with some claiming they lack resources to record the nationality of offenders.
That, combined with Whitehall’s reluctance to release figures, is not good enough.
Not in a week when two Afghan illegal migrants were found guilty of the abduction and rape of a 15-year-old schoolgirl in Leamington Spa.
Meanwhile the Home Office hasn’t a clue how many foreign nationals are here or how to stop more coming illegally.
In the wake of the Afghan convictions Shabana Mahmood today launches a new crackdown on rapists and sex offenders.
Promising to halve violence against women in a decade, the Home Secretary pledges specialist police teams and protection orders to enforce curfews and exclusion zones on abusers.
That is all well and good until you recall Labour’s contemptible failure to get to grips with the grooming gangs crisis.
For this policy to be effective the Government must be straight with the public about offenders from ALL backgrounds.
Police must be made to publish all their data on who is offending and where they come from, rather than having it dragged out of them by Nigel Farage’s Reform UK.
Until then the public will never trust Sir Keir Starmer to give us the truth on links between migration, asylum and crime.
Doctors’ sick walkout
AN ONLINE forum for doctors gives a stunning insight into the twisted attitudes of some towards the sickening strike planned to start on Wednesday.
As hospitals battle a tidal wave of super-flu cases, one militant is “desperate” for the strike to go ahead because they have made plans for the break.
Another pipes up saying: “Keeping patients safe at Christmas is not our responsibility.”
These selfish, uncaring clowns see a medical career as no different to being a pen-pusher in a back office.
In that case why should they be paid more?
