ANTOINE SEMENYO issued a “really classy” farewell to Bournemouth following his move to Manchester City.

Semenyo, 26, joined City following a £62.5million deal during the early stages of the January transfer window.

This comes after three impressive years with the Cherries, whom the winger joined from Bristol City.

The Ghana international amassed a total of 32 goals and 13 assists in 110 appearances with Bournemouth.

And the Man City star has proven to be fully grateful to the Premier League club that gave him his big break.

That is why the forward took out a full-page ad in today’s Bournemouth Echo to thank the fans.

The advert showed the Ghanaian star celebrating with a Bournemouth shirt on.

And Semenyo issued the following message: “To all the fans at AFC Bournemouth, thank you for all the memories. I wish you all the best.”

Bournemouth supporters were left moved by their former player’s gesture and expressed their gratitude on social media.

One fan tweeted: “Huge respect for this and the effort he gave Bournemouth to the very end. A really classy guy.”

Another commented: “Wouldn’t expect anything less from Antoine Semenyo.

“He’s a class act. Loved him when he played for Bristol City, and he went on to become an even better player at Bournemouth. Hope he does well.”
