Tonight’s National Lottery draw has been delayed due to a technical glitch during a livestream, leaving viewers fuming.
The live draw abruptly cut out before the bonus ball was drawn at around 8pm on Saturday, with a message saying there had been technical issues.
Over 200 people reported an outage for the live Lotto draw.
A spokesman for National Lottery operator Allwyn said: ‘Due to the bonus ball not dropping during tonight’s Lotto draw, we have paused the draw.
‘It will resume as soon as possible with an alternative draw machine and under the supervision of an independent adjudicator.
‘We expect to complete tonight’s Lotto draw and publish the verified results on national-lottery.co.uk later this evening and apologise for the delay.’
It is unclear why the glitch occurred, but it comes just weeks after the EuroMillions was struck by a similar fault on October 10.

One irritated viewer said on X: ‘Here we go again another lottery draw another technical fault this is happening nearly every draw and is totally unacceptable.’
Another wrote: ‘The way my luck is it i bet the national lottery draw that has been delayed is because it drew my numbers out’.
A third added: ‘Seriously, again???? Another technical hitch?’
Saturday’s lottery numbers have still not been confirmed and it is unknown when they will become available.
In a response to angry lottery players, The National Lottery posted on X: ‘Following an earlier technical issue, the draw for the bonus ball has now been completed using an alternative draw machine, and under the supervision of an independent adjudicator.
‘You’ll be able to find the verified results on national-lottery.co.uk shortly. We’re sorry for the delay.’
