Naomi Campbell has reportedly been banned from attending the iconic Met Gala on Monday night amid her feud with Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
The supermodel, 54, may have made a huge mistake last September as she bad mouthed Met host Anna, 75, on stage during an industry event.
And it seems Naomi may come to regret her words as Anna now has the power to exclude the 66-time cover star from fashion’s biggest night out.
The Met Gala is set to take place on the first Monday in May, at New York City‘s Metropolitan Museum of Art and the theme this year being Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
A source told The Sun: ‘Naomi shot herself in the stiletto with that comment. You don’t throw shade at the queen of fashion and still expect to walk her red carpet.
‘Anna doesn’t forget – or forgive. It’s no coincidence. If Anna wants you out, you’re out. Simple as that.

‘Naomi’s been a Met staple for decades, so her absence from the list hasn’t gone unnoticed. Everyone’s whispering – and it’s Anna’s way of reminding who runs the show.’
Despite being missed off the guest list, Naomi has recently been trying to cover her back and insisted she felt ‘too old’ to attend the fashion event.
Speaking in a YouTube video last week, she said of the 2024 gala, ‘It is my last. I can’t… I’m too old. It’s too much for me, the anxiety.
‘I don’t know what number this is, I think it could be either 20 or 21. Can you imagine?’
Last September, Naomi and Anna first clashed at the New York Fashion Week ceremony for Harlem’s Fashion Row – where Naomi’s notorious lateness caused problems.
Anna told the audience: ‘I am a very punctual person, and I have the honour of presenting tonight to someone who is often late.’
But Naomi, who wore a black gown and had a bandage on her knee, lived up to her reputation and was so late that Anna eventually left.
Instead Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief Samira Nasr presented her with the Fashion Icon Award and as she accepted the gong, Naomi shocked the crowd.

The runway star said: ‘It wasn’t my choice to have the other lady, I’d much rather have this one.’
Her comments sparked gasps from the crowd.
Naomi has been on the cover of Vogue 66 times under Anna, making her the fashion bible’s first black woman to appear on the cover in 1989.
Anna’s Met Gala co-chairs comprise of Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and LeBron James this year.
MailOnline have contacted Naomi’s representatives for comment.
It comes after Naomi looked to be enjoying a well-deserved family holiday as she shared rare snaps with her two children as they soaked up the sun in the Maldives.
The supermodel took to Instagram last month with an array of snaps from her getaway at the One&Only Reethi Rah beach resort.
The star showcased her incredible figure in a skimpy pale yellow bikini as she posed for a sunset boat picture before heading into the sea for a spot of snorkelling.
In another sweet snap the mother-of-two looked out at the sunset as she cuddled up to her daughter, three, before the pair were joined by her son, 22 months, as they dressed up for dinner.

Naomi was also joined by her pals film producer Mohammed Al Turki and model Natasha Poly.
The pair have been friends for several years after Mohammed first shared a snap with the superstar on his Instagram back in 2021.
They have been fixtures at each other’s sides at many events since, including last year’s BAFTA’s, Cannes film festival, Paris Fashion Week in 2022 and 2023 and several exclusive parties, like Edward Enninful ’s birthday bash.
She penned in the caption: Family time #blessed❤️❤️ you never disappoint @ooreethirah’.
The vacation snaps come after Naomi confirmed last year that she welcomed both her children via surrogate after becoming a mother for the first time in 2021 aged 50 and posed with the newborn on the cover of Vogue.
The supermodel shocked the world when she announced the surprise birth her daughter followed by a son in 2023, both of whose names the catwalk queen has not made public.
Naomi previously admitted that her daughter wasn’t adopted before clarifying that she hadn’t been pregnant herself as she discussed how much her children mean to her.
Telling The Times: ‘My babies are everything to me. It’s made me fear for the future.’
Naomi went on to explain that she was never looking for a father for her kids and is happy being ‘a single mother of a single mum’.
When asked whether she used a surrogate she replied: ‘I did. I hope for a better world for my children. They are 110 per cent my priority. I have to be there for them on their first day at school.’
