Nancy Pelosi Really is Remarkably Good at Trading Stocks – HotAir

Project Veritas promised a part two of their undercover interview with David Hogg and here it is. In this one, Hogg talks about Nancy Pelosi’s amazing record as a stock trader.

Project Veritas has released Part Two of a shocking undercover meeting with DNC Vice Chair David Hogg criticizing former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other members of Congress for suspiciously timed stock trades that suggest insider knowledge. In the footage, Hogg admits that Pelosi’s financial success – worth hundreds of millions – outpaces even the best hedge funds, raising serious questions about corruption at the highest levels of the political party he seeks to lead.

“I would say Pelosi’s actually very good at her job. I don’t agree with the stock trading stuff,” Hogg says in the video.

“Some of these members of Congress make trades that are, like, way too well-timed to not have, like, insider knowledge.” He goes further, stating, “She gets better returns than almost every hedge fund in the city. Every year.”

Hogg adds that he’s chosen not to make this an issue because he’s trying to get gun control passed. The implication is that interfering with sketchy stock trading in Congress would not endear him with the people whose votes he’s trying to round up. Here’s the full clip.

Once again, this isn’t the end of this particular well. Project Veritas says there is a party three featuring Hogg coming soon.

I suggested yesterday that Hogg might be booted from his current position with the DNC over this but I guess his removal is already in process so while this might add to the pressure it was already headed that direction.

Hogg and DNC chair Ken Martin have been dueling over Hogg’s plans. Most recently, Martin said Hogg should either sign a neutrality pledge or step down from his post.

On Monday, the DNC Credentials Committee committee heard a complaint that alleged the body bungled its own rules when Hogg and Malcolm Kenyatta were elected as vice chairs in February. To move forward, the full national body would have to sign off on the resolution the committee approved. If it does, it would call for a new election for the two vice chair posts in question and therefore would remove Hogg and Kenyatta from their posts.

As for Hogg, he seems resigned to his fate.

…the complaint remains under review, and a vote about whether to redo the vice chair election is scheduled for between June 9 and June 11. But even if they boot Hogg from the DNC, he says, he’ll just focus on his day job booting feckless incumbents from Congress.

The complaint about the way he was elected was actually filed before he shocked the DNC by campaigning against Democratic incumbents. Nevertheless, Hogg suggests it’s being used as a pretense now.

But just so I understand, is it your view that this complaint was mounted specifically to get rid of you? Or is the DNC leadership just latching onto this because it provides an opportunity to accelerate something they already wanted to do?

It’s certainly provided an opportunity. In order to remove me as an officer, one, I would need to be breaking a rule, and two, it would go through a committee and then it would require a two-thirds vote of the DNC membership. This gives them the opportunity to remove me with only a simple majority.

So we’ll have to wait another week or so to find out if this plan to oust him works. Meanwhile, Project Veritas keeps dropping segments of this undercover video. It’s not decisive but it can’t be helping his case.

That said, nothing Hogg said in this clip is really off-brand for him personally. Attacking Democrats as corrupt and wanting to burn down the whole system might even help him with far left voters if he runs for congress as the next member of the squad.
