WE’VE said goodbye to 2025, a year that in the world of fashion brought some standout moments, good and bad.
From co-ordinating couples, revenge dressing, show stopping red carpet moments and not one but two furry ‘things’ making the list, it’s been an interesting year for fashion.
So which celebrities got a pat on the back for their stylish looks and which would we rather forget.
Fabulous Fashion Editor Abby McHale breaks down some of the most viral fashion moments of 2025.
Most Stylish Dresser: Daisy Edgar-Jones
She’s been on our radar as someone who ticks all the boxes as your go-to style inspiration for some time, but what is so great about the Normal People actress is her relatability.
From frolicking in the crowds of Glastonbury this year wearing a t-shirt, denim shorts and wellies, to telling Vogue that she’s much more of a flats girl, wearing heels when only necessary, Daisy Edgar-Jones is a girl after our own heart.
And whilst she does off-duty fashion very well, her red carpet looks are always also a winner.
Wearing the likes of Gucci in Cannes, her press tour for On Swift Horses in April this year also showed a mix of elegant tailoring one day and ethereal boho looks the next.
A real fashion chameleon who barely seems to put a foot wrong.
Best TV Wardrobe: Claudia Winkleman
We were graced with not one, but two series of The Traitors in 2025, thanks to the addition of the first celebrity version which took place this autumn.
That meant double the outfit inspiration from host Claudia Winkleman.
Her checks and tartan, waxed jackets and pleated skirts have seen the modern heritage trend soar, with the high street scrambling to copy her highlands look.
According to John Lewis, fingerless gloves, worn by Claudia on the show, now outsell traditional glove styles.
And with the fourth season now on TV, this is sure to be a look that will stick around well into 2026.
Best Red Carpet Moment: Margot Robbie
After a brief hiatus to have a baby after her ever so successful Barbie movie release and press tour, Margot Robbie stepped back onto the red carpet this September with a bang.
At the London premiere of A Big Bold Beautiful Journey the 35-year-old wore a beaded Armani Prive dress that left little to the imagination.
Covered in beads, sequins and rhinestones, the actress even wore a beaded thong to go with.
Whilst ‘naked dressing’ has received a bad reputation this year, with the likes of Cannes Film Festival banning the style, Margot proved that somehow you can wear very little and still look as dazzling and elegant as always – now that’s a talent.
Legend Award: Dame Mary Berry
At the age of 90, Mary Berry has a wardrobe envious to many.
Her signature style consists of floral midi dresses, smart cashmere jumpers with printed scarves around her neck.
Always looking polished and put together, her clothes are the epitome of dopamine dressing.
However, in 2025 especially Mary has catapulted herself into the world of fashion.
With a British Vogue cover under her belt where she wore the likes of Valentino and Emilia Wickstead, 2025 also saw her become the face of Holland Cooper.
The British tailoring brand put the former Great British Bake Off judge in a three piece check suit complete with pussy bow blouse and very on trend glasses.
Now that’s how you prove fashion is there for any age.
Biggest Rock: Taylor Swift’s Engagement Ring
There were a few celebrity engagements in 2025, but none broke the internet quite like Taylor Swifts.
Getting engaged to her NFL beau Travis Kelce at the end of August, her Instagram post has racked up a mega 38 million likes.
The ring in question is a vintage inspired elongated cushion cut old mine diamond, in a chunky 18k yellow gold band.
Estimated to be worth anywhere between £500,000 to £4m, this of course saw a surge in replica engagement rings.
Within 24 hours jewellers were reporting an influx of demands for antique cushion rings.
Plus the term ‘old mine cut diamond’ rose by a whopping 10,000%.
Clearly proving just how influential this megastar is.
Best Lingerie Campaign: Denise Lewis
These days the fashion industry is a lot more inclusive than it was in decades gone by.
Especially with the presentation of women over the age of 50.
And lingerie brand Coco De Mer, certainly showed that women over a certain age can be sexy when it used Denise Lewis, 53 as the face of its Icons Campaign.
The gold medal Olympian looked amazing in a range of black lacy body suits, bra sets, plus stockings and suspenders.
Taking to her social media Denise said: “Being recognised by Coco de Mer as an Icon is humbling and proof that women in midlife aren’t fading, they’re rising – reclaiming our bodies, our stories, and our right to be seen as vibrant, sensual and unapologetically whole.”
She also went on to say she feels sexier than ever and we couldn’t agree more.
Best Revenge Dress: Lily Allen
Each year another celebrity steps out into the public eye after a breakup showing their ex what they are missing.
In 2025 Lily Allen not only wrote an entire album about her ex (Stranger Things star David Harbour), but she stepped out at the CFDA fashion awards in November in an outfit none of us will be forgetting anytime soon.
In an all white outfit by designer Colleen Allen the 40-year-old wore a barely there bralette with matching lace detailed skirt.
With Lily’s album West End Girl having just been released after a seven year music hiatus, this was the look that screamed ‘I’m back’.
And she certainly made sure she came back with a bang.
Best Bikini Wardrobe: Nicole Scherzinger
If there’s one celebrity who likes to be on the beach in a bikini it’s Nicole Scherzinger.
The former Pussycat Dolls singer looked to rack up at least 17 different bikinis this year, as she jetted off at different points throughout the year.
From Hawaii to the Philippines the 47-year-old knows how to holiday and she has the bikini wardrobe to go with.
As well as classic block colours such as white and black, Nicole does like to mix it in with animal and geometric prints.
Always a bikini and always a fairly classic style, she proves that you don’t need fancy cut out sparkling swimsuits, just an easy two piece that will last you from holiday to holiday.
Viral Accessory: Labubu’s
Who would have thought that a small, quite sinister looking plush toy with jagged teeth, could be such a loved accessory in 2025.
The Labubu doll, made by Chinese company Pop Mart became a global phenomenon this year.
Even celebrities went wild for the toy, Madonna had a Labubu themed birthday cake, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and Dua Lipa all sported the toy as an accessory.
People were even paying thousands of pounds for rare editions.
Filtering into the UK Pop Mart stores even had to close in May due to massive queues and fights breaking out – everyone was going delulu for Labubu’s.
Celeb Copycat: Sydney Sweeney
We saw lots of red carpet looks last year that give us flashbacks to decades gone by, but no other celebrity seemed to do it more than Sydney Sweeney.
And with one celebrity in particular – the original blonde bombshell, Marilyn Monroe.
Whilst on her press tour for new film The Housemaid, the 28-year-old has stepped out in multiple looks that resemble the Some Like It Hot actress.
From a white plunging halterneck dress that looked very similar to Marilyn’s iconic white dress, to another silver figure hugging dress complete with feather boa.
She’s slowly morphing into the Gen Z version of 50’s megastar.
Worst Couple Co-ordination: Kylie and Timothee
One celebrity couple that missed the mark when it came to dressing cohesively was Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet.
After rumours they were no longer together began to spiral, they certainly came back with a bang this month, arriving together at the premiere of Timothee’s latest film Marty Supreme both wearing neon orange.
Apparently the colour has some relevance to the film and the duo sure showed everyone they are together, however, the glaring orange glow of both their looks makes us need to reach for a pair of sunglasses.
Footwear Fail: Jonathan Bailey
It’s not often Jonathan Bailey does anything untoward, however, he did quite literally put a foot wrong this year when it came to his fashion choices.
However, whilst in London over the summer to promote Jurassic World: Rebirth, the 37-year-old decided to take a casual approach and wear a pair of flip flops with his jumper and jeans.
Whilst his co-stars were dressed in smart shoes and heels, the Bridgerton star really tried to bring the casual vibes.
But all we could see was were his hairy toes, maybe flip flops need to be kept for more for private holidays away from the cameras.
Most Bizarre Fashion Release: Skims Furry Thongs
Kim Kardashian loves to break the internet and 2025 was no exception.
Her shapewear brand Skims decided to do something a little out of the ordinary, releasing a range of thongs with hair on the front that gave the appearance of pubes.
If that wasn’t already enough, the slogan to go with was ‘Your carpet can be whatever colour you want’.
Coming in a range of hair colours from blonde to brunette, you could also opt for curly or straight hair again depending on your preference.
Whilst we commend Kim for being innovative, this is a look that’s too hair raising for us.
