Myleene Klass pokes fun at Victoria Beckham saga with outfit choice after publicly defending her son Brooklyn and calling her out for getting her kids involved in Brand Beckham

Myleene Klass appeared to be sticking the boot in to Victoria Beckham when she headed to work at Smooth radio studios on Thursday.

Victoria, aka Posh Spice, 51, was famous for wearing little black dresses during her four-year tenure in the Spice Girls

And Myleene, 47, mimicked the look as she stepped out in the rain after taking to Instagram to support Brooklyn amid the family feud, alongside a Burberry trench coat and bold fluffy boots.

Eleven years ago, Myleene called out Victoria for getting her kids involved in Brand Beckham, after Brooklyn, then 15, posed on the cover of Man About Town.

It was around this time that Romeo Beckham became the face of a Burberry fashion campaign when he was aged just 11.

Myleene’s outfit referenced that time as she threw a Burberry trench coat over her LBD, just like the one Romeo wore for his advert.

Purely coincidence? In 2014, Myleene who is mother to Ava, 18, Hero, 14 and Apollo, six, had publicly criticised Victoria for allowing Brooklyn to model on the cover of Man About Town magazine.

She said: ‘Why would you put them on the front line where they are going to get attacked?’ They’re still kids, let them be kids!

‘I personally wouldn’t let my child. But I think it’s an exception to the rule – they’re the Beckhams!

‘They’ve got a force field around them where everyone can look after them, but your average Joe will get that barrage of trolls, comments and critiques.’

On Thursday, Myleene also posted an explanation about family estrangement from Clinical Psychologist Dr Martha Deiros Collado, who referenced the Beckhams.

Myleene wrote: ‘After the memes and mockery, there’s this for us all to consider…’

It read: ‘What is estrangement? When a family member chooses distance, either emotionally or physically, because the relationship feels unsafe, harmful or impossible to repair.

‘Society often frames adult-children who go ‘no-contact’ as spoilt, ungrateful, or as betraying their family.

‘In higher socio-economic families, there is often an assumption that ‘everything they did/paid for’ guarantees lifelong gratitude and obedience.

‘This Authoritatian view on parent-child relationships is the reason we position adult-children who go ‘no contact’ as the problem, rather than acknowledging the deeper relational issues that are at play.’

She tagged in Harry Styles’ song Matilda, a song about a protagonist who grew up in a troubled or abusive household.

The ballad extends a level of empathy to its subject and was inspired by Roald Dahl’s infamous 1988 novel

Myleene’s thoughts on Brand Beckham follow Victoria’s single, Not Such An Innocent Girl reaching number one in the charts on Thursday.

It came three days after Brooklyn posted his six-page missive posted on social media, accusing his famous family of putting Brand Beckham before all else.

An excerpt read: ‘My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else. Brand Beckham comes first.

‘Family “love” is decided by how much you post on social media, or how quickly you drop everything to show up and pose for a family photo op even if it’s at the expense of our professional obligations.

‘We’ve gone out of our way for years to show up and support at every fashion show, every party, and every press activity to show “our perfect family!” But the one time my wife asked for my mum’s support to save displaced dogs during the LA fires, my mum refused.’

He continued: ‘The narrative that my wife controls me is completely backwards. I have been controlled by my parents for most of my life.

‘I grew up with overwhelming anxiety. For the first time in my life, since stepping away from my family, that anxiety has disappeared. I wake up every morning grateful for the life I chose, and have found peace and relief.

‘My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.’
