MANCHESTER UNITED academy product Sam Mather has penned an emotional farewell to the club.
The winger, 21, is set to sign for Turkish side Kayserispor after 14 years on the books at Old Trafford.

Salford-born Mather has banked senior experience on loan at Rochdale and Tranmere Rovers but never played a first-team game for the Red Devils.
Alongside a slideshow of his United highlights, Mather wrote on Instagram: “After 14 years my time at Man Utd has come to an end.
“I would like to thank all the staff and players who have helped me become the person and player I am today.
“I will always be grateful for my time here and wish the club all the best.
“On a personal note it’s time for me to move forward and I can’t wait to get started!”
Mather was part of the United side that won the FA Youth Cup in 2022.
Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho also started in the final, with the latter scoring twice in a 3-1 win over Nottingham Forest.
Mather was expected to leave United last summer but at least one exit deal fell through.

It’s been reported that United won’t receive a transfer fee for his move to Turkey, but they will retain a sell-on clause.
Mather also had interest from American side New England Revolution but chose Kayserispor, who are battling relegation in the Turkish Super Lig, as his next step.
The local lad has only made six Under-21s appearances this season, and prospects of him breaking into the first team appeared slim, even though he was regularly drafted into senior training.
United are focused on giving other youngsters first-team opportunities at present.
Ayden Heaven started Wednesday’s 2-2 draw at Burnley with Shea Lacey coming off the bench and Jack Fletcher – son of temporary boss Darren – an unused sub.
