A MOTHER has revealed that her husband gave her a £40 budget to transform one of the bedrooms in their home.
And while she thought the DIY job would be an epic fail, she was stunned with how easy it was to add style to a space without breaking the bank.

Jade Arrowsmith, a DIY enthusiast from the UK, shared how she turned her child’s bedroom from drab to fab in barely any time at all.
Not only was her mega makeover purse-friendly, but it was also really simple to do, proving you don’t need to be an expert to transform your home.
Posting on social media, the content creator gave her followers a close-up look at her child’s plain bedroom, prior to its cheap and cheerful overhaul.
The savvy mum confirmed that she used two panelling kits from B&Q to transform the space and claimed that it is something “anyone can do.”
Holding up the panelling, she said: “My husband gave me £40 to transform this bedroom, so I popped to B&Q and got the £18 panelling kit.
“This is the first time I have ever panelled and I was a bit worried that it’d be an epic fail, so I spent last night measuring the wall and working out where all the pieces needed to go, which is really simple.”
Jade then explained that she had the panelling up and on the wall within an hour and “was so shocked at how easy” it was.
Following this, she confirmed: “I added some decorative dado to the top just to finish it off and then I had to caulk, prime and paint it, which I’ll be honest, took me longer than it did to put the panelling on.”
Showing off the finished bedroom, which is now super stylish and on trend, Jade explained: “For a morning’s work and £40, I think this is a really good budget transformation – a really simple way to elevate a room and I will definitely be doing this again.”
As well as this, Jade concluded: “And it just kind of proves you don’t need to know what the hell you’re doing to give it a go – sometimes you might just surprise yourself.”
Jade’s TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @arrowsmithshome__, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 702,500 views, 21,900 likes and 196 comments.
