CHELSEA defender Trevoh Chalobah was lucky not to suffer a broken ankle against PSG as images show his foot facing the wrong way.
Chalobah, 26, was forced off in the final minutes of an embarrassing 3-0 home defeat (8-2 on aggregate) for the Blues on Tuesday.
He needed urgent medical attention on the pitch after going down following a collision with Achraf Hakimi.
Englishman Chalobah was stretchered off but many missed what had happened.
The incident was initially not caught by TV cameras with no replays broadcast once Chalobah was down seriously hurt and it was clear he was in pain.
He has now posted online to update fans, sharing a nasty picture that shows the wonky angle of his foot.
As Chalobah falls to the ground his right leg locks into the grass and buckles underneath his body.
Hakimi’s own right foot is planted on top of Chalobah’s ankle, which is facing into the ground and almost 180 degrees from being forward as normal.
The PSG star then crumples onto Chalobah, plunging weight onto the ankle, forcing it further back.
Uploading a snap of the tackle to his Instagram story, Chalobah wrote: “Lord all I can say is thank you, my ankle should be broken but your word says in.

“Psalm 91 ‘For he shal give His angels charge over you. To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up. Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’
“We will stick together, I will continue to give you praise Lord in all circumstances good or bad, heaven and earth will pass away but your words shall not pass away.
“Nothing will stop me declaring your name. Thank you JESUS for protecting me.”
Both sets of players showed extreme worry for the Cobham graduate and there was immediate concern from all.
It left Liam Rosenior down to 10 men having already made all five of his substitutions.
Chelsea were already long gone in the Champions League tie having conceded twice early on to put an already unlikely comeback way beyond them.
Chalobah’s injury will only add to Rosenior’s mounting issues after club captain Reece James was ruled out for a while for a hamstring strain.
His backup, Malo Gusto, was also absent for the clash with PSG due to illness.
Chalobah deputised at right-back with Mamadou Sarr and Jorrel Hato picked as a makeshift centre-half pairing.
Tosin Adarabioyo was a second half sub called on by Rosenior to the frustration of Stamford Bridge.
He was booed onto the pitch as toxicity filled the stadium.
Chelsea go to Everton on Saturday night with their season hanging by a thread.
David Moyes’ side could move to just two points off sixth with a win, piling the pressure on Rosenior as he attempts to get Chelsea back into the UCL via a top five finish.
