
A DOG attacked a mother and her two children, one of which was a baby in a pushchair as cops release CCTV of a man they want to speak to.
The dog reportedly jumped up at the mother and scratched her back before knocking over the pushchair and injuring the baby.
The baby hit its head and was left with a lump and a graze on its forehead.
The mother was walking with the children on September 5 at around 6.30pm when the dog approached them.
Leicestershire Police said the dog owner then pulled their dog bag and ran from the scene towards Samson Road.
A spokesperson for the force said: “Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to after a young family was attacked by a dog in Leicester.
“The incident happened sometime between 6.30pm and 6.50pm on Friday 5 September in Stephenson Drive.
“A woman was walking with her young child and her baby in a pushchair when she was approached by a dog.
“The dog, off its lead, jumped up and scratched her back before jumping up at the pushchair knocking it and the woman over.
“During the incident, the baby hit its head and sustained a lump and graze to her forehead.
“The dog’s owner arrived and pulled the dog away running off towards Samson Road.
“As part of their enquiries, officers have released an image of a man they wish to identify.”
