A MUM’S excitement over a bargain find at Asda quickly turned to alarm after she was warned by other parents that the toy she bought had been recalled for being dangerous.
The mum, who was thrilled with her find, shared a photo different reduced toys she had picked up in the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

“Loads of toys reduced in ASDA,” she captioned the picture, hoping to help other parents find a bargain.
One of the toys, a Sensory Roller, had been reduced from £5 to a mere 86p – a deal that seemed too good to be true.
It turns out, for some, it was.
Members of the group were quick to comment on the post, issuing a stark warning about the sensory toy.
“The sensory roller has been recalled so be careful,” one person wrote, while another added, “That sensory thing was on recalling for being dangerous.”
One concerned parent went further, writing, “I’ve seen the recall of the sensory toy… it is dangerous.
“Hope this reaches you on time. Please please look into it.”
The toy, a Hapello Sensory Roller, is described on the Asda website as “the perfect addition for your little ones playtime!”
It’s designed to help children discover how to get shapes in and out of its soft fabric sides, with the six included shapes featuring different patterns, textures, and colours with rattle sounds for an added sensory experience.
An Asda spokesperson confirmed the reason for the recall, which is due to a potential choking risk.
The product recall information, which is available on the supermarket’s website, states that certain batches of the Hapello Sensory Roller “may pose a risk of choking due to the potential release of a small piece of plastic lodged in the toy during the manufacturing process.”
The spokesperson clarified that the recall is only for specific batch codes: ‘#34, #35, #36, #37 & #39’.
Shoppers who have purchased the toy with barcode 5063089161708 and any of these batch codes are advised to “stop using it immediately and bring it back to your nearest store where you will be given a full refund.”
