Mum, 31, killed after being hit by car outside train station in early hours is pictured

A HEARTBROKEN family has paid tribute to a mum-of-three who tragically died after being struck by a van.

Danielle Smith, 31, was fatally hit by the vehicle near a busy train station near Farsley, Leeds, in the early hours on October 11.

West Yorkshire Police called on anyone who may have seen the collision or with dashcam footage to come forward.

Following the crash, the force said: “At 1.14am this morning police received calls reporting a pedestrian in the road on Stanningley Bypass.

“A short time later, a further call was received reporting a collision involving a pedestrian and a van.

“Emergency services attended but the pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

“Her family are being supported by specialist officers and enquiries remain ongoing.”
