M&S debuts vanilla sugar beauty range, including delicious smelling £3 deodorant

VANILLA is one of the most popular scents among Gen Z – and M&S has debuted a new range dedicated to it.

A beauty lover shared how they spotted that Marks and Spencer’s is selling a selection of Gem’s deodorants and fragrance mists, with “vanilla sugar” being one of the scents.

In addition to this, they also have items in vanilla macadamia and coconut vanilla, with prices starting from £3.

The range includes a roll-on deodorant but also aerosol options.

Beauty lover @yourgalhann told followers: “Screamed when I saw Vanilla Sugar was now in the UK.”

Vanilla is known for its rich, soothing scent, and like many luxury perfumes, it evokes a sense of warmth, nostalgic comfort.

And a recent Unilever study has revealed that vanilla is Gen Z’s favourite fragrance note, beating out popular scents like sandalwood and cut grass.

Meanwhile, TikTok user @katiewy_ added: “The vanilla sugar smells insane.”

The deodorant, which is also in Boots, is made with odour-fighting ingredients to protect for 48 hours.

Many social media users were quick to share their excitement online, with one saying: “Wow this looks insane.”

Another added: “I bought the vanilla sugar deodorant the first time I saw it and it is amazing.”

And a third commented: “got some today! can’t wait to try.”

Vanilla hype

We previously shared how beauty influencer Elizabeth Monahan constantly has people asking why she smells so good – and it’s not because she has the latest triple-digit perfume on.

It’s actually because she rubs vanilla extract on her wrists… yes, the thick, sticky liquid you use for baking.

Renowned for its warm and sugary aroma, Elizabeth applies it directly to her pulse points from the bottle.

A bottle of Extra Special Madagascan Vanilla Extract from Asda will set you back just £1.50, making it the cheapest perfume replacement you’ll ever find.

Unlike some commercial perfumes laden with synthetic chemicals, vanilla has a more natural and gentle option for those who are mindful of what they put on their skin.

You don’t just have to apply it straight from the bottle, though.

If you prefer a spray, you can mix one part vanilla extract with four parts water in a spray bottle and shake well to combine.
