
A 19-year-old motorbike rider has been left fighting for his life after suffering “serious injuries” in a horror smash.
Cops and emergency services scrambled to the scene after the shocking collision just before 7.30pm on Friday in Moss Side, Manchester.
Police said a Suzuki GSR 750 ploughed into the side of a Toyota Corolla turning right from Lowthorpe Street onto Lloyd Street.
The teen motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and suffered serious injuries, officers confirmed.
He was rushed to hospital from the scene and remains in a life-threatening condition, Greater Manchester Police said.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are asking for anyone with information to come forward amid ongoing investigations into the crash.
This includes anyone who saw the vehicle driving before the collision, witnessed the incident itself, or have dashcam footage of the incident.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: “Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) are appealing for information following a collision at around 7:20pm on Friday 21 November on Lloyd Street in Moss Side.
“A driver of a Toyota Corolla was turning right from Lowthorpe Street onto Lloyd Street in Moss Side where a motorcyclist, driving a Suzuki GSR 750, has collided with the side of the vehicle.
“The motorcyclist, a male aged 19, was unseated and suffered serious injuries. He was taken to hospital and is in a life-threatening condition.”
