A MOTORBIKE exploded into a fireball after it skidded across a road and nearly killed two school children in a quiet suburban street.
The motorbike burst into flames after hitting the kerb in a Texas neighbourhood.
The dramatic scene unfolded as two children were seen with their backpacks standing on the corner of the street outside a house, WOAI-TV reported.
All of a sudden, the motorcycle and its rider slide swiftly into view.
The children quickly fled as the bike hit the side of the road and burst into a fiery ball of flames.
The rider was not far behind, almost skidding into the midst of the blaze.
The flames almost engulfed the school children as they ran for their lives towards Wooden Fox and Oakwood Crescent in San Antonio.
Also emerging from the flames was the rider – who was momentarily on fire.
He was seen running across the street fleeing the blaze.
A neighbour ran out with a garden hose to put out the flames, according to WOAI-TV.
The children and the rider – whose identity remains unknown – all walked away from the terrifying ordeal unharmed.
San Antonio Today reported that the rider had allegedly been speeding on Thursday when he lost control of the bike after hitting a corner.
It comes after a popular influencer was killed in a horror smash in Brazil in early March.
Karla Thaynnara, 25, is believed to have lost control of her motorcycle while riding in front of the massive truck in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil.
Police believe the mother-of-one then collided with a car before being thrown back out onto the road.
She was then run over by the lorry that had been travelling just behind her.
Her father – José Carlos Andrade Nogueira – had been driving past the scene on Tuesday when he saw her lifeless body on the road.
After seeing her on the tarmac, the retired cop allegedly took his own life before attending officers were able to step in, according to local outlet Correio Braziliense.
Both father and daughter were confirmed dead in an Instagram post on Tuesday evening.
An investigation has been launched into the crash and the circumstances around the pair’s deaths.
