Morgan Rogers and Daniel Munoz feature among transfer targets for double Gameweek 13

DREAM TEAM managers have until the leisurely time of 1:30pm on Saturday to confirm their transfers for Gameweek 13.

For the first time this season, all 20 clubs are set to play twice as another full round of Premier League fixtures will follow the usual weekend allotment.

As expected, Eberechi Eze (£4.9m) is currently the most popular recruit following his hat-trick in the North London derby.

Allow us to suggest some other transfer targets.

Morgan Rogers (£4.7m)

This recommendation comes with the caveat that Aston Villa are about to kick-off against Young Boys in the Europa League.

Barring any disasters this evening, the England playmaker could be a difference-maker in Gameweek 13.

BLUE BLOODS

Chelsea players thriving once again but top-of-the-table clash awaits

Rogers came up clutch for Unai Emery’s side with a match-winning brace at Elland Road last weekend for a 17-point haul.

This Sunday brings the top flight’s most favourable match-up, a home game against Wolves, with a trip to Brighton to follow in midweek.

Given Rob Edwards’s side have mustered just two points from a dozen league games this season, Rogers has as good a chance as anyone of going big this weekend.

Daniel Munoz (£5.7m)

Regular readers will be sick to the back teeth of us tipping Crystal Palace defenders but the numbers can’t be denied.

The Eagles’ Colombian wing-back added another 13 points to his tally last weekend, as did Maxence Lacroix (£4m).

Those two are joined by Marc Guehi (£4.3m) in Dream Team’s top five defenders at the time of writing, alongside Arsenal pair Jurrien Timber (£5m) and Gabriel (£5.3m).

Munoz has contributed three goals plus three assists on top of eight clean sheets and ranks first in his position for shots on target and big chances created.

Incredibly, he features in fewer teams than Virgil van Dijk (£4.4m) despite the fact he’s amassed almost twice as many points as the out-of-form Dutchman.

Oliver Glasner’s troops will play Manchester United (h) and Burnley (a) in Gameweek 13 — a double header that looks even more appealing after the Red Devils’ defeat to 10-man Everton on Monday night.

Palace are taking on Strasbourg in the Conference League this evening so gaffers should check the availability of Munoz and friends closer to the deadline.

Harvey Barnes (£4.3m)

Newcastle’s No11 made a big statement this past Gameweek.

He scored a brace to sink Manchester City last Saturday and scored again against Marseille in midweek, albeit in a losing cause.

Barnes scooped 27 points for his efforts and became the joint-highest goalscorer (7) among midfielders this term, alongside Diego Gomez (£3m) and Ismaila Sarr (£4.6m).

The ex-Leicester winger has rarely been a guaranteed starter since his transfer to St James’ Park but he has surely leaped to the top of Eddie Howe’s pecking order.

His strike rate when on the pitch is more than commendable and in contrast to Anthony Gordon (£4.4m), who hasn’t scored in the league since January.

The Magpies travel to Everton this weekend before hosting Spurs on Tuesday night — Thomas Frank’s side shipped nine goals in Gameweek 12.

Igor Thiago (£4.2m)

A full double Gameweek means a level playing field for all which brings assets such as Brentford’s top scorer into play.

Often disadvantaged by a fixture deficit, Thiago’s ownership has grown this week ahead of a rare double header.

Unfortunately, one of his two fixtures is Arsenal (a) which is about as difficult as it gets on current form but that challenge is offset by a favourable home game against Burnley.

The Clarets have conceded the most shots and xG in the top flight campaign.

Thiago, who has 10 goals already this season, will be licking his lips.
