A postman has been stood down after he appeared to get caught smoking a ‘drugs pipe’ while sat in his red van.
Footage from October 30 shows the brazen worker allegedly inhale the substance in the comfort of his Royal Mail vehicle.
A bright light flickers between his hands before the bespectacled driver disposes of the evidence by dropping it outside his window.
He then grabs his phone and heads off to make the next delivery – but first walking to the back of the van to see if he has been spotted.
Royal Mail have said that the worker is ‘no longer engaged’ by the company, following an urgent probe.
The film was captured by a neighbourhood doorbell camera at an unknown location and subsequently posted online.
One person said: ‘Oh dear.’
Another added: ‘If he hasn’t been fired yet, he will now – why would you do this in uniform, in your van or at work anyway if this was the sort of thing you were into.’

But someone speculated: ‘He could be looking at an old treasure map.’
And one person called for sympathy, saying: ‘Poor guy. I hope Royal Mail has some support for him, and they don’t just fire him.’
Some called the man ‘postman crack’.
Drug pipes are used to heat a substance such as tobacco, crack, cannabis or heroin, to produce fumes.
Postmen are banned from smoking in uniform in their van while on shift, including cigarettes.
Royal Mail said: ‘We took immediate steps to investigate. The individual was an agency worker and is no longer engaged by Royal Mail.’
