Moment cop pulls injured driver away from his burning car through a bush after crash that left his motor in flames

THIS is the terrifying moment police officers rush to pull an injured driver away from a burning car.

Harrowing bodycam footage shows deputies in St. Johns County, Florida, arriving at the scene of a devastating multi-vehicle crash.

As they approach, one of the vehicles is already fully engulfed in flames.

The officers then make a chilling discovery.

A man is lying on the ground just feet from the wreckage – badly injured and unable to move.

Moments earlier, he had been thrown from the vehicle and left beside the burning car.

Realising the danger, the deputies force their way through thick roadside bushes to reach him.

With the fire rapidly consuming the vehicle, one officer grabs the man by the leg and begins dragging him away from the wreckage.

In the shocking footage, the deputy can be heard shouting: “I don’t want that thing to f*****g explode.”

Seconds later, the officers manage to pull the injured man clear – just far enough from the flames to get him to safety.

Emergency crews arrive shortly afterwards to provide urgent medical treatment.

The Florida Highway Patrol is now investigating the cause of the crash.

Unfortunately, this is not the first accident to unfold on a Florida highway.

Back in December, a small plane dramatically crashed onto a busy road after its pilot was forced to make an emergency landing.

The single-engine aircraft, carrying two people, plunged onto Interstate 95 late on a Monday night – shocking drivers travelling along the busy route.

Moments later, the plane collided with a Toyota Camry that had slowed in heavy traffic.

The aircraft – a Beechcraft 55 – had reportedly experienced engine trouble shortly before the crash, according to the pilot.

After the impact, the plane was left perched on top of the concrete barrier separating the two sides of the highway.

Authorities quickly shut down the highway as police officers and firefighters rushed to the scene, triggering major travel chaos.

The driver of the car – a 57-year-old woman – was taken to hospital with minor injuries following the terrifying near-miss.
