Molly-Mae shares ‘controversial’ move after Bambi bit kid at nursery as people urge her to ‘parent your daughter’

MOLLY-Mae has revealed she turned to ChatGPT for parenting advice after daughter Bambi, two, bit another child at nursery. 

The Love Island star turned business owner, 26, revealed she had been left conflicted after her sister Zoe Rae said Bambi shouldn’t be taken for ice cream after the incident.

Molly, who speaks candidly about her parenting struggles, said of the biting incident: “It’s the complete opposite of what I want my child to be.”

She added: “Equally she is two and a half and she is testing boundaries. Also it’s hard because at their nursery their way of disciplining is that they don’t really discipline.”

After Zoe’s comments, Molly admitted she was worried Bambi would view being taken out for ice cream as a “reward for bad behaviour.”

In her latest vlog, which was posted on YouTube, she admitted she turned to ChatGPT for advice, despite realising some people would find it “controversial.”

She shared: “So, guys, basically, I asked ChatGPT for some advice on the situation with Bambi today. 

“And, I feel like people are gonna have a lot to say about this because it’s AI, whatever, like, it’s controversial. 

“I feel like controversial is my middle name at the minute, so I’m used to it. But, I got some really, really incredible advice.

“So I put in the situation into ChatGPT, to explain the full situation, explained her age, explained what’s happened, explained it’s happened twice, and then told them like, what we’re struggling with, like, how to discipline or how we, you know, explain to her that it’s not okay.”

Molly-Mae then read out the advice given to her by ChatGPT – and showed how it said giving the ice cream was unlikely to have an effect on the biting.

It said: “At two and a half, consequences need to be immediate and directly linked to the behaviour.

“If the biting happened in the morning and the ice cream date is hours later, she is unlikely to connect the two in her mind. 

“If you cancel the treat and say it’s because of the biting, she may not fully understand and it could just feel random or like you’re being mean for no reason. 

“Instead of withholding a separate nice thing, it’s more effective to address the behaviour in the moment at nursery or as soon after as possible.”

The mum-of-one, who recently got back with Tommy Fury, said this is tricky for her, as she’s not there in the moment at nursery.

The AI then explained why Bambi could be biting other children at the age of two and a half.

It said: “Impulse control is still developing at this age, children often act on strong emotions without thinking ahead. 

“Sensory exploration, biting can sometimes be a form of testing, cause, of effect, or stress relief. 

“Big feelings, tiredness, overstimulation, which there is a lot of at nursery, or needing for attention.”

Molly concluded: “Bottom line. At her age, skipping the ice cream date won’t necessarily teach her to not bite, but consistent immediate responses will. 

“You’re not rewarding bad behavior if the treat is just part of your normal Friday. 

“The key is making sure she gets a clear simple message right after the behavior and lots of praise when she handles her feelings in a better way.”

Many people were quick to give their opinions on Molly-Mae using AI for parenting advice – with strong views on either side.

One said: “Never ask ChatGPT for advice or therapy – it tells you what you want to hear.”

Another added: “Ai parenting tips…we’re cooked.”

And a third commented: “Parent your daughter don’t treat her like a mate.”

Others even accused the Maebe founder of using Bambi as ragebait – online content designed to intentionally provoke anger or outrage in viewers, with the goal of increasing engagement and traffic.

However one said: “We all use chatgbp, leave her alone!!”

Content creator Molly who boasts 1.9million subscribers on YouTube and has a jaw-dropping £6million fortune, shared: “Basically at her nursery at the minute, there’s a bit of a biting pandemic going on and all of the children are biting one another. 

“I got a call the other day to tell me that she’d been bitten and she came home with a full-on bite mark on her arm.

“I wasn’t even cross or upset about it because I knew it would be a matter of days before they’d call me to say she’d done the same thing back to another child. 

“I feel like especially in her nursery, they’re all seeing each other doing it and copying the behaviour basically.”

The millionaire, who lives in a huge £3.5million mansion, added: “So I got a call from her key worker to say that she’d bitten again today and I just feel like is taking her for ice cream later on, rewarding her and doing something nice, when she’s done something at nursery that’s really not good? 

“But equally, I don’t even know if I should bring attention to it.”

As well as this, the blonde beauty, who previously admitted she is “selfish” and is “not cut out” to deal with the stresses of parenting, then continued: “When it happened the other week, I decided to go with the method of not bringing attention to it at all.

“So not talking about it, because I think they do it because maybe they want a reaction, or she wants a rise, or she wants us to talk about it.

“So I didn’t talk about it at all, but that method’s clearly not worked because she’s gone into nursery and done it again today so even with no reaction, it’s still happening. 

“She’s getting the reaction she wants…if we’re all talking about it.”
