Molly-Mae Hague‘s sister Zoe Rae has brushed off the backlash she has received for leaving a Bali holiday after just 48 hours because it didn’t live up to her expectations.
The fitness influencer, 28, went viral after being mocked by fans for abandoning the anniversary trip to Indonesia with her husband Danny.
Despite staying in a huge sea view room at the Radisson Blu, a five-star hotel, they decided to leave early and jet to Dubai instead after explaining that Bali looks better on social media than in real life.
Zoe ignored the comments on Tuesday, instead using her Instagram account, which boasts 645k followers, to give fans a glimpse at her luxury lifestyle.
Having left the Army Medical Corp in 2023, Zoe embarked on a career in influencing, just like her famous younger sister.
She was previously on the front cover of Women’s Fitness and now invests her time in health and fitness, racking up 16.2M Likes on TikTok.

Zoe kickstarted her daily Instagram Stories on Tuesday with a look at her 6am reformer pilates class, posing for a mirror selfie before getting stuck in as she joked that her two week holiday left her ‘humbled’.
Next up was an exciting photoshoot for the influencer as she shared behind the scenes pics and video of a campaign shoot with bodybuilding supplement brand Myprotein.
Zoe showed off her gym-honed figure in a white sports bra and cycling shorts as she showed off her moves on set.
Later, she alluded to the social media backlash as she thanked her team, sharing a snap of personalised champagne and an iced cookie as she gushed: ‘Will never get over days like today. So surreal… grateful to be surrounded by the loveliest people.’
Zoe is often seen in her sister’s YouTube videos with her fitness fanatic husband Danny and as well as her own YouTube channel, she previously followed in her sister’s footsteps and signed a five-figure deal with PrettyLittleThing in 2023.
Zoe signed up to the British Army Medical Corps at 22-years-old, where she met her husband, but quit after five years of service, explaining on her YouTube channel that ‘[going into the army] wasn’t something I planned on doing or something I wanted to do while at school.
‘I wouldn’t say I’ve been overly lucky. I’ve been in the army for five years but the regiment I was at wasn’t for me… I’ve experienced so much that you wouldn’t in a normal job I just wish for me it’d gone differently.’
After her sister Molly-Mae’s Love Island stint, Zoe revealed she was given the chance to work with her sister on her businesses and be paid.

In 2023, she said: ‘She’s offered me to help with Filter; she’s said she’ll pay me a monthly wage, but I can’t. It’s not me. I need to be out and about doing something.
‘I’m very lucky she does and she’s always offering to get me things, which I’m super super grateful for.’
After Molly-Mae became PrettyLittleThing’s creative director, Zoe landed a five-figure deal with the brand after she stepped down to focus on motherhood.
A source told MailOnline at the time: ‘It’s a no-brainer. Molly-Mae’s working relationship with PLT has been a triumph and now bosses are hoping to replicate the same with Zoe.
‘The sisters are also looking to collaborate and build on their brand as a family, which could make them millions.’
But after building her brand over the past few years, Zoe has found herself under fire after the ill-fated Bali trip.

In a new YouTube video, Zoe told the camera: ‘Since landing in Bali, something for us wasn’t quite right.
‘We came here with high expectations because we had seen on social media that everyone was having such a lovely time. Lovely places to eat and beaches, and lovely gyms and coffee shops.
‘But I don’t think the reality of Bali is shown much at all, and I do think it is down to a lot of influencers posting the more luxury side of things.’
She added: ‘Before joining the army, I spent five months travelling South East Asia. I did Thailand, Vietnam, China, Hong Kong, I did a lot and spent time in these countries. But there is something very different about Bali.

Zoe explained that Bali looked completely different from what it did on social media, and that influencers had made it look more luxurious

Despite staying in a huge sea view room at the Radisson Blu, a five-star hotel, they decided to leave early and jet to Dubai instead
‘We got told Uluwatu where we are now is one of the best places to go, so if this is one of the better places, I’m not sure where the other places are like.
‘I wasn’t going to sit down and say anything, but people want to know.’
Danny then joined the video and said: ‘You either go on holiday to travel and experience culture or you want to go away and relax.’
Zoe continued: ‘Yeah, and we could have got a flight tomorrow as today is our anniversary, but time is precious and we just want to get out, and why delay it.
‘We missed the mark, maybe we didn’t do our own research, maybe it is our own fault. I did a lot of research though.
‘I think it is just personal preference, and our preference was that this isn’t for us, and we are making the executive decision to go enjoy our anniversary somewhere we know that we love and can relax and can drink the water.’
