Model shrinks waist to 20 INCHES by wearing corset for 23 hours a day… despite doctor’s warning

A model has revealed that she shrunk her waist to only 20 inches by wearing a corset up to 23 hours a day for over a decade – and it’s even moved some of her organs.

Aleira Avendaño, 33, from Venezuela, started her waist reduction journey in 2009, and has spent the last 16 years working extremely hard to achieve her tiny, hourglass frame.

She dons a tight girdle every day to ensure her waist stays at a mere 20-inches, only taking it off for one hour a day to ‘rest and wash herself’ and even going as far as to sleep with it on.

Aleira spoke about the endeavor exclusively with the Daily Mail, and she insisted that she didn’t just do it for aesthetic reasons.

‘It makes me happy. For me, a small waist is not just aesthetic, it’s a symbol of discipline, focus, and passion,’ she said. ‘It empowers me to see my body reflect my effort and vision.

‘It was a very conscious and personal decision, driven by my desire to transform my body into a living piece of art, a form of discipline and aesthetic expression.’

She added that she has ‘learned so much about her body, health, and mind’ along the way.

She also insisted that she has always ‘respected her personal limits’ and that while it may look painful, she has not felt much discomfort throughout the lengthy process.

‘At first, it can feel strange or uncomfortable, like any body transformation,’ shared the model.

‘But over time, it becomes part of your routine. It’s a gradual adaptation process. I’ve never ignored my body’s signals pain has never been part of the journey.’

Back in 2015, a doctor spoke to the Daily Mail about the possible dangers of Aleira’s body transformation, and the medical professional issued a stark warning to the influencer.

Dr. Andrés Ruiz said at the time: ‘In my medical opinion she should stop this immediately. Thank God she has not done any damage so far but she should stop before it’s too late.’

But Aleira told the Daily Mail during a recent chat that while the endeavor has ‘slightly shifted the position of her organs,’ she has ‘never put her health at risk’ and has had the approval of her doctor every step of the way.

‘Wearing a corset long-term can slightly shift the position of your organs, much like other body modifications even natural ones like pregnancy,’ Aleira continued.

‘In my case, I’ve always done it under medical supervision. I’ve never put my health at risk, and all my check-ups have been positive.’

She said that she has spent over $1 million to alter her waist, with a further $38,000 on surgical procedures, including seven boob jobs, five nose jobs, bum implants, and new teeth.

Aleira’s goal is to have the world’s smallest waist, a title currently held by Cathie Jung at 15 inches.

‘[But more importantly], my goal is to remain true to my ideal image feeling strong, healthy, and in balance. I don’t chase the extreme, I pursue harmony,’ she insisted.

Aleira often shows off her unordinary body on social media, but unfortunately, she has faced a slew of backlash over it.

In response to her haters, she told the Daily Mail, ‘Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I also have the right to live my truth. This is me unfiltered, unapologetic.’

‘This has never been about pleasing others. I did it for myself, and I continue doing it for me,’ she added.

She admitted that people often stare in public, but that she’s unfazed because she’s ‘used to it by now.’

‘I see it as an opportunity to break stereotypes and show that anyone can be authentic,’ gushed the social media star.

In the end, Aleira, who recently released her own line of corsets so others can follow in her footsteps, said she’s proud of her ‘consistency, self-care, and control.’
