Brazil’s first-ever Miss Universe winner and beauty icon has tragically died aged 80, just days before her birthday.
Leda Maria Vargas died after being admitted to hospital in Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul, yesterday, her family announced.
The cause of death was not disclosed in the first official statements released by the family but later reports citing her daughter said she died from a heart problem.
