MILLIE Mackintosh’s husband Hugo Taylor threatened to divorce her THREE years ago after row at a wedding.
Yesterday it was revealed how the Made In Chelsea couple had separated after seven years following a “difficult start” to the year.
According to the Daily Mail, Millie, 36, and Hugo, 39, – who share two daughters – split after a series of discussions in the New Year.
Now, in an unearthed interview from last year, Millie revealed how her struggle with alcohol had an impact on her marriage.
The socialite, who no longer drinks, has been very honest about her battle with the booze.
During a chat in January 2025 on This Morning, she spoke about the moment that made her realise “enough is enough”, and that she had to get sober as it was taking a toll on her marriage to Hugo.

“It was making me really unhappy, it was really affecting my life, affecting my relationships, especially with my husband,” she said.
It came after host Ben Shephard read out a quote she had written in her Daily Mail column, where her husband Hugo had said to her following a row at a friend’s wedding: “If you don’t stop drinking it’s going to end our marriage.”
“It had got to the point where I had taken it too far and I’d really humiliated him,” Millie candidly revealed.
“I was so embarrassed, and it was a couple of days after that when I got to the point where I said ‘enough is enough,’ and that was two and a half years ago.”
News of Hugo and Millie’s split broke yesterday afternoon, leaving fans shocked.
An insider told the Daily Mail: “Millie and Hugo are currently going through a separation and have sadly decided to split.
“They have known each other for many years, and in recent weeks, have had serious conversations about their future, ultimately deciding it’s better for them both to part ways.
“Their main priority remains their children and family life, and separating is not something they ever hoped would happen.
“At present, they are considering what living apart might look like and how they plan to navigate co-parenting their young children.
“It’s been an incredibly difficult start to the year, and one they hope to continue managing in private.”
The former Made In Chelsea stars have been married since 2018 after initially starting to date following their debut on the E4 reality show in 2011.
Despite a split which led to Millie marrying Professor Green in 2013.
But, following their divorce in 2016, Millie and Hugo got back together before tying the knot themselves two years later.
