A husband believes his missing wife is in a ‘disoriented’ state and may be hiding out in an unoccupied building or quiet laneway after she vanished without a trace outside a hospital six days ago.
Michelle Joan Leahy, 50, was last seen leaving Ramsay Health Clinic, at Hollywood Private Hospital, in Nedlands in Perth‘s inner west, about 3pm on Thursday.
The mother-of-three was walking to an appointment at the time but never arrived.
Police and loved ones hold serious concerns for her welfare, with her family now putting up a $100,000 reward for anyone who can help find her.
Her husband, Murray Leahy, told the Daily Mail his wife had made the six and a half hour journey from their Kalgoorlie home to Perth last week to receive treatment.
She had been in a poor mental state leading up to her disappearance and is without her medication.
As search efforts ramp up to find the beloved mother, Mr Leahy has offered insight into possible locations where Western Australians can help to keep a lookout for his wife.
He said his wife is ‘potentially hiding, given her mental state’ and would be ‘somewhat disoriented and avoiding people’.

Ms Leahy’s last known sighting when she disappeared on Thursday was on Monash Avenue, in Nedlands. Her husband has told the Daily Mail police have now obtained CCTV showing her travelling south onto Bruce Street
‘She may be hiding out in any little nooks or crannies – old houses, back lanes – anywhere like that,’ he said.
Mr Leahy said authorities have been able to revise her last known location by tracing her footsteps via CCTV and she is now known to have travelled around 1.6km south after leaving the hospital.
‘We have her walking south from Stirling Highway on Bruce Street in Nedlands,’ he said on Wednesday.
‘That is the last known sighting.’
Mr Leahy is urging anyone with dashcam who was in the vicinity of that area between 3pm and 5pm to review their footage for any trace of his wife.
‘If you were driving around the Greater Nedlands area – around the edges of the Swan River, down to Nedlands Golf Course, around the Esplanade, and back north to Princess Road and the Stirling Highway – please trail back through it.
‘She is deeply loved and missed by all of us.’
Mr Leahy said his wife may be seeking shelter in the western and southern suburbs of Perth as she is familiar with those areas.

He said she also has family in Bunbury, 168km south of Perth, and may have made her way down there.
He described the family’s ordeal as ‘very traumatic’ as he and their children desperately await for Ms Leahy to return home safe and sound.
‘We’ve got three kids that are at home, with absolutely broken hearts wh] are desperate to see their mum return safe and sound,’ Mr Leahy told Perth’s 6PR radio.
‘We’ve reached a point of pure desperation where we’re offering a reward of up to $100,000 for anyone that can help find Michelle.’
Ms Leahy was last seen wearing a white top, blue patterned pants and a black cap.
She is described as approximately 175cm tall, is of medium build, with brown hair and blue eyes.
Mr Leahy said he had been humbled by the degree of support from the public but insisted there is still more work to do.
‘Members of the general public all over the place have been amazing, but unfortunately, it hasn’t resolved for us yet,’ he said.
‘We are still very, very concerned and working immensely hard to try and find Michelle, and the police have been doing everything in their power to support us.’
Anyone who sees Ms Leahy is urged to contact police immediately on 131 444.
