Paris Jackson flashed a peace sign while strolling in her native LA on Wednesday after publicly distancing herself from Lionsgate’s fully-authorized musical biopic, Michael, about her late father.
The 27-year-old heiress’ cousin Jaafar Jackson stars as the King of Pop in Antoine Fuqua’s $155M-budget two-part movie – hitting US/UK theaters April 24 – which is produced by co-executors of the Michael Jackson estate, John Branca and John McClain.
Paris (born Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson) was outraged after Colman Domingo – who portrays her great grandfather Joe Jackson – insinuated to People that she was ‘very much in support of our film’ and that they’d ‘chatted briefly’ at Sunday’s amfAR Venezia Gala.
Jackson had performed a song on behalf of her late godmother Elizabeth Taylor‘s AIDS Foundation as the 55-year-old Emmy winner served emcee duties and helped raise $3.4M for the cause.
‘He was like, “Paris is so helpful and like supportive of this movie blah blah blah and she’s been helping out on set,”‘ the Beverly Hills-born nepo-baby incorrectly claimed via Instastory Tuesday.
‘My response to that was, like, yo I’ve met this man twice – once at a birthday party and once at the amfAR thing the other night – both were, like, hella brief interactions.’

Last year, the 28-year-old Heal LA Foundation co-founder gushed on Instagram that the movie ‘has been a dream come true’ and he wrote that watching his 29-year-old cousin Jaafar work his butt off ‘is the closest I’ll ever come to watching my dad in concert.’
Michael – which promises an ‘unbiased’ telling of his 1993 child sexual abuse accusations – also features Miles Teller, Kat Graham, Nia Long, Laura Harrier, Larenz Tate, and Derek Luke.
Jackson completely washed her hands of the ambitious project after the initial feedback she gave producers on the first draft of the script was ignored.
‘The thing about these biopics is it’s Hollywood. It’s fantasy land — it’s not real, but it’s sold to you as real, and a lot of sugar-coated, like, the narrative is being controlled,’ the heavily-tattooed millennial blasted.
‘There’s a lot of inaccuracy and there’s a lot of just full-blown lies. At the end of the day, that doesn’t really fly with me. I don’t really like dishonesty. I spoke up. I wasn’t heard. I f***ed off. That’s it. Y’all are going to like the f***ing movie so just go watch it, go enjoy it, do whatever — leave me out of it.’
