Met Cop sacked after fitting his Peugeot with sirens and blue lights to mimic cop car before being caught by colleagues

A SPECIAL constable fitted his own Peugeot 508 with sirens and blue lights to make it look like a police car.

Jacob Milanov was caught by real cops driving his motor around London with a roof top beacon and a rear-facing blue light.

He also had hand-held radios and Met Police uniform with “special constable” badges removed.

Milanov was sacked for gross misconduct by a police hearing in the capital last week.

A union rep said Milanov was too busy with work to attend, but said he still wants to join the police “some day”.

His LinkedIn page claims he is a data analyst for holiday firm TUI.

The Met said Milanov was driving off-duty in the early hours in July when he was stopped.

Shana Hanna, for the force, said: “A police light was fitted at the rear window, a police beacon in the back, as well as equipment found in the boot.”

“Special Constable Milanov was not authorised to be in possession of this property.”

In a statement, Milanov said: “I love volunteering as a Special Constable and am very sad to see it go.

“I had a really good few years and will take everything I learned from the job forever.”

Milanov did not attend the accelerated misconduct hearing and did not respond to the allegations.
