MEGHAN Markle’s second series of her Netflix show ‘With love, Meghan’ has hit TV screens.
In the new series, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, opens up about her time in the UK and reveals Harry was first to drop the love bomb.
It also sees Meghan bizarrely dine on a sea urchin’s privates – said to be a delicacy – and squeeze her hand up a chicken’s bum.
She goes on to say “what a glamorous and ladylike shot – it’s what has to be done”.
In the show, she reveals for the first time that she worked as a hostess at a restaurant before rising to fame.
Meghan had teased the new episodes with a trailer earlier this month, in which she said she loved “finding ways to show she cares”.
The Duchess of Sussex’s new episodes – with more celebrity guests – also open up on her Royal Wedding and anniversary.
The show was renewed for a second run after the first season dropped in March, despite mixed reviews from critics and fans.
Other clips see her reminisce about Magic FM from her time in the UK, in which she says she misses the station.
In the seventh episode of the new series, the duchess appeared to reveal for the first time that she worked as a hostess at the now-closed Mirabelle restaurant in Hollywood before becoming famous.
Speaking to pal Heather Dorak, she says: “Remember when I was a hostess at Mirabelle, on Sunset?
“It was a great job, he was like ‘do you want to be a waitress’ [and] I was like ‘I’m really good at hostessing, that is not my lane.
“‘I understand my lane, so no, I will take less tips but do the thing I’m really good at.'”
Joined by celebrity chef Jose Andres, of World Central Kitchen, to cook a closing party feast for the camera crew in the final episode, Meghan dines on the delicacy of sea urchin gonads – known as uni.
In the episode, Jose describes the food as “sweet like candy”.
Meg then jokes: “It is sort of the part of the story telling that could be edited out”.
However, she eats the delicacy nonetheless, commenting: “Woah, that’s an exceptional, exceptional bite of food.”
Her husband Prince Harry does not appear in any of the show’s new episodes, featuring only in two photographs.
In episode two of the new series, Meghan is joined by Chrissy Teigan and, briefly, by her singer husband John Legend.
Meghan admits how she wished she had invited Harry while the pair are in her kitchen.
Chrissy and Meg both appeared as briefcase models on the US version of Deal or on Deal before they found fame.
Meghan can be heard reminiscing about how the pair had crossed paths “many moons ago”.
Chrissy replies: “I feel like our lives have had so many chapters, and that being a really important funny one.”
In the third episode, Queen Eye star Tan France joins Meghan and before he arrives she wraps a set of books including her own book The Bench as gifts for his children.
She tells Tan how she “always wanted to be a mum” and claims she wanted to buy real nappies for her dolls when she was a child.
When then asked by her guest whether there was a moment when she realised she had fallen in love with Harry, Meghan said: “that was our third date”, when the pair camped in Botswana for five days.
She said: “You really get to know someone when you are in a little tent together and there’s what is that out there – ‘is that an elephant are we going to be safe?’
Meghan also revealed that it was Harry who first said “I love you” between the pair, blushing as she remembered the moment.
While preparing a roast chicken she is filmed placing lemon, garlic, rosemary, garlic and butter inside the bird “Inside our lovely lady”
And with her fingers inside the chicken said “What a glamorous and ladylike shot it’s what has to be done.”
Putting it in the oven she says: “Goodbye darling, thank you for playing.”
Other episodes of the series see her reminisce about her time in the UK as a working royal.
However, Meghan could risk reigniting a royal row after she appears to refer to her previous much-derided claim she was forced to wear neutral colours.
In the fourth episode with US celebrity chef Samin Nosrat, she revisits her infamous claim.
Speaking in 2022 Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, she said: “Most of the time I was in the UK, I rarely wore colour.
“To my understanding, you can’t ever wear the same colour as Her Majesty if there’s a group event but then you also shouldn’t be wearing the same colour as one of the other more senior members of the family.”
While selecting coloured paper to cover books they are making Meg said: “I will do something neutral.”
Samin replied “If you are a neutral person be a neutral person.”
Meg, possibly in a nod to furore over her clothes while a working royal, said: “Yes existentially I am a neutral person.”
In episode six she jokes about the differences between food terms in English and American English with Michelin star chef Clare Smyth.
Meghan also reveals secrets about her 2018 wedding to Harry in Windsor.
The chef, who runs Core by Clare Smyth in Kensington, cooked at the wedding reception.
While preparing a dish Meg says to her guest: “Makes me think of our wedding venue.
“We had the map where everything was sourced and really wanted people to appreciate where every ingredient was coming from.”
She added “I mean that was the most delicious meal. Everyone still talks about it.”
Clare goes on to reveal she cooked at Harry and Meghan’s anniversary in an old chapel.
Photos also revealed there were reception tables called ‘Cilantro’ and ‘Coriander’ for Brits and Americans.
Meg continued: “When we were living in London we became obsessed with your bread.
“To the point where can I pick up a loaf of bread for Valentine’s Day.”
Joking about the different cross-Atlantic names for food items Meg said: “My kids will say a little bit of both but never cooking terms because I guess papa is not cooking as much.
“They both say zebra instead of zee-bra.”
In March, while on Drew Barrymore show, Meg made the same claim saying: “Oh, some of the words that they still say with a British accent, so they’ll say z-e-b-r-a and what else do they say?
“They have these little moments where it comes out and because they have very American accents, but they say words that are just like him and I think it’s adorable. Zebra is a good one.”
Speaking again about the language barrier, Meg said: “Just grab a knife to chop some erbs.
“My husband always laughs when I say erbs. He’s like ‘herbs’ he’s like ‘it’s so American, erbs, erbs’.”
Discussing the first meeting with Clare seven years ago before the wedding Meghan said to her guest: “Life has changed the world has changed.
“You’ve opened so many restaurants gotten more stars. I’m just proud of everything you’ve accomplished and what you’re doing.”
They also discussed the wedding menu revealing they had braised lamb and fried chicken at the wedding afterparty for ‘late night bites’
Clare said they have kept the fried chicken as an ‘off menu item at Core.
Meg said “I love that we have created something off menu at Core. You know we are done. If that’s my claim to fame I’m thrilled.”
And she gave a little curtsy in celebration.
It also emerged that Meghan drew the menu and Clare told her “ you had it all drawn and it was beautiful, stunning”.
The pair posed with Harry for photo which was captioned ‘surprise visit’.
In the seventh episode, Meg appears with pal Heather Dorak on a day trip to Malibu to take pottery and cocktail classes.
She devotes around four minutes on how to pack a bag revealing she likes to take ‘things that bring me joy’.
This includes a blue PH40 baseball cap she made for her hubby’s 40th birthday and photos of her family.
She places fabric softener towels between her clothes in luggage.
Speaking about old pal Heather she said: “It’s really awesome to be in your 40s. We just settled into a different… era.”
And while laying out her homemade thumbprint cookies she says: “That’s so charming I feel like we are in Europe.
“There are easy ways to show up lovingly.”
She also reveals her and Heather once came thirteenth and fourteen in Malibu half marathon
They are taught to make cocktails with a mixologist in Malibu who explained he used to work as a lawyer in New York.
Meg asked: “Did you watch Suits?”
He replied: “No, no. I don’t watch basic Cable. I like shows with curse words, and stuff.”
This comes after a new clip released yesterday sees Meghan with Queer Eye star Tan France in her kitchen.
In the video, Tan can be heard asking her what she has sprinkled over her sandwich.
When she says that she added “flower sprinkles”, Tan simply says “wow” before adding “that’s the gayest s**t I’ve seen in a long time”.
Then, the pair collapse into fits of laughter.
The post came just minutes after Meghan offered an update on the series on her As Ever account.
The update came with a picture of Meghan watering her plants, casually dressed in blue jeans and a white shirt.
The caption read: “At As ever, we keep growing and growing.
“Your favorites (and more) are back tomorrow as we also celebrate the launch of Season 2 of “With Love, Meghan” on @netflix.”
The show’s second series claims it will be “fun and heartwarming”, with plethora of celebrity guests due to make an appearance.
