MEGHAN Markle still hasn’t made contact with her father after he was rushed into intensive care fighting for his life.
Thomas Markle, 81, was taken to hospital on Tuesday after falling ill at his home in the Philippines.
Thomas Jr told the Daily Mail on Thursday the family have heard nothing from the Sussexes since his dad was admitted.
“I would implore Meghan and Harry to reach out to Dad,” he said.
The concerned son added how his father is “heavily medicated” and “hooked up to all kinds of machines”.
It comes as Harry sparked backlash after jokingly calling President Trump a “king” and recreated a meme from Great British Bake Off during an appearance on The Late Show – amid his father-in-law’s health battle.
It is understood Thomas underwent surgery on Wednesday and was transferred to the intensive care unit.
Thomas Jr, 59, had said previously: “I took dad to a hospital close to our home and they did various scans and the doctors said his life was in imminent danger.”
He described how the ambulance blue-lighted his dad to hospital.
He added: “My only wish is that Meghan shows my father some compassion. He is literally fighting for his life.”
Thomas Jr later said doctors had told him his dad is “stable” and that their family is “grateful” for the support they’ve received “particularly from Britain”.
His sister Samantha added how their father has a “long journey of recovery ahead”.
Thomas has suffered with ill health, including a stroke, in recent years and had been living in Mexico for the past 10 years before relocating to the Philippines in January.
He has been estranged from Meghan since her wedding to Prince Harry.
Thomas suffered two heart attacks on the eve of the big day in 2018 and was unable to walk his daughter down the aisle.
It came after he had posed for paparazzi pictures ahead of the wedding.
Meghan then cut him off after he put the phone down during a heated row with Harry while recovering in hospital.
Concerns were also raised for 81-year-old Thomas just a few months ago when his daughter Samantha claimed he was stuck on the 19th floor of his Philippines flat after a deadly earthquake.
However, Thomas bizarrely later declared he was “fine” and urged people not to worry.
The Late Show
The pensioner’s latest health update comes as Prince Harry sparked backlash on the Late Show after jokingly calling President Trump a “king”.
The Duke of Sussex, 41, joined host Stephen Colbert on the US show as the pair recreated an iconic clip from the Great British Bake Off.
Harry briefly joined the comedian for a sketch on the hit show, where he joked about being a “Christmas Prince” in a movie.
Using his full title, Colbert said: “‘Folks, it’s Prince Henry Charles Albert David of Wales Sussex. What are you doing here?”
Discussing America’s “obsession” with royalty, he then joked: “‘Hold on, I wouldn’t say we’re obsessed with royalty.”
And sparking boos from the audience, Harry quickly replied: “Really? I heard you elected a king.”
In another clip, Colbert asks Harry to “beg for me”, as the pair re-enact one of Bake Off’s most iconic scenes.
The scene, originally from the show’s 2024 New Year’s special, caused presenter Alison Hammond to descend into fits of giggles.
Speaking with baker Mark Lutton, she asks what he would want her to do if he was “King for the day”.
Mark, from Portadown in Northern Ireland, responds: “Bake for me, probably.”
But a shocked Alison, who misheard the contestant, replies: “You’d want me to do what? Beg?”
Mark then repeats: “Bake! B-A-K-E,” before Alison shouts: “Oh Bake!”, leaving her in hysterics.
She added: “It’s your accent, it’s a lovely accent!”
Meanwhile, a new episode of Meghan’s Netflix Christmas special was released on Wednesday.
The cookery series, With Love, Meghan has divided opinion, as some experts dubbed it “cringe”.
In With Love, Meghan Holiday Celebration, the duchess, 44, revealed she loves Christmas trees, advent calendars and wreaths before dressing up in matching red pyjamas with friends.
