Steve’s family called him “a loving son, a much-loved brother, a devoted uncle and a dear friend to many”.

Many people flocked to social media to share tributes to him.

One person said: “One of the finest human beings to walk this earth. A legend in every regard and a true friend.

“Too many memories all filled with laughter and fun, you always knew how to make us smile.”

Another added: “If not for Steven, I wouldn’t be the man I am today. He truly impacted my life being an irreplaceable friend I consider a brother.
