THE McDonald’s Christmas menu appears to have been leaked – and fans on social media hail the chain’s “creative era”.
Ten menu items are said to be coming to the UK on 26 November, according to insiders.
And in one exciting twist, many of the items are Grinch-themed.
These are the rumoured items in McDonald’s Christmas menu, including new and returning favourites:
- Double Big Tasty
- Cheesy Chicken Stack
- Grinch McShaker Fries (Pickle)
- Grumble Grinch Pie
- Frozen Grinch Lemonade
- Cheese Melt Dippers
- Coconut Noglobe Latte
- Coconut Noglobe Hot Chocolate
- Chocolate Brownie McFlurry
- The Grinch Meal
While details including prices are still scarce, the Grinch McShaker Fries look to be a twist on the beloved McDonald’s fries, and they come with a dill and pickle seasoning.
While the Grinch Meal is said to include the McShaker Fries and a medium drink in addition to Grinch socks.
The items have been shared by popular food Instagrammers @bigdaddybsfoods and @newfoodspotteruk.
New Food Spotter UK wrote: “@mcdonaldsuk Christmas menu is coming November 26th — and it’s gone full Grinch mode!”
And fans have shared their thoughts about the alleged menu additions.
One wrote on Instagram: “Double big tasty and cheesy chicken stack….. take my money”.
“Love anything with 🥥 but I’ll try the pie and drink,” said another.
A third user said: “Honestly… fair play to McDonald’s. They’ve been busy with these new menus”.
But some fast food fans aren’t convinced, with one saying: “Sounds awful”.
A second person added: “The current shaker fries are the most vile thing I have ever tasted so I don’t think I’ll be trying the next lot”.
The Sun contacted McDonald’s for comment, but the chain is so far remaining tight-lipped about the new release.
What else is new at McDonald’s?
The fast food giant has been bringing in more changes to its menus recently – including the addition of a controversial item which left fans “pleasantly surprised”.
McDonald’s launched a new menu just days ago, including items from Maccas restaurants from all over the world, such as Garlic & Black Pepper McNuggets from Japan and McShaker Fries from Poland.
But it’s the Pineapple McSpicy that has got fans talking on social media.
The Australian-inspired burger features chicken breast in a spicy crispy coating, the classic sandwich sauce, bacon, cheese, lettuce – and a slice of pineapple.
Initially, some fast food fans had appeared disgusted by the idea of pineapple in a burger.
But customers who were among the first to try the burger have given largely positive reviews.
“I was pleasantly surprised!! Very spicy but so good!” one customer said on TikTok.
Others said it was “great” and they “rate it”.
But McDonald’s has also axed an item from its menu recently – with the Bacon Roll no longer on the breakfast menu.
It comes just weeks after Maccas got rid of the long-time favourite Breakfast Roll.
How to save at McDonald’s
You could end up being charged more for a McDonald’s meal based solely on the McDonald’s restaurant you choose.
Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30% cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.
You can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 at any time by filling in a feedback survey found on McDonald’s receipts.
The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.
You’ll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.
There are some deals and offers you can only get if you have the My McDonald’s app, so it’s worth signing up to get money off your meals.
The MyMcDonald’s app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android phones and is quick to set up.
You can also bag freebies and discounts on your birthday if you’re a My McDonald’s app user.
The chain has recently sent out reminders to app users to fill out their birthday details – otherwise they could miss out on birthday treats.
