SINGER Max George has revealed he has been back at hospital to undergo tests after his two heart surgeries.
The performer left fans shocked when he was admitted to hospital for an emergency operation on his heart.
In December 2024, Max had a pacemaker fitted after doctors discovered a heart block, which caused his heart to beat abnormally.
He then also underwent a second secret operation last year to adjust the fitting of the pacemaker.
Now, he has confirmed that he has had further tests after a gruelling 12 months which has seen constant A&E dashes.
Speaking on Instagram from hospital, Max said: “I am in the building where I had all my heart surgeries. I can’t say it is good to be back because it is not.
“I just had a scan done on my chest because I’ve had a bit of an issue with one of my lungs.
“It should be fine. It is just a precaution.”
Max did not give any further details on the scan he underwent.
Last year, The Wanted singer told The Sun he had to undergo a secret second op after his pacemaker wires were inserted too deeply.
The Wanted singer was left in agony for weeks after going under the knife for his heart condition.
He was also warned by doctors he might never sing again as he underwent a lung biopsy days later to investigate his health scare.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun on Sunday, he revealed: “I thought I was on the road to recovery but when I was told I needed a second operation I was nervous, as pulling the pacemaker wires out of the heart wall risks bleeding on the heart.
“I didn’t have a choice, though. I had to have it done.”
Max shot to fame in The Wanted alongside Nathan Sykes, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and the late Tom Parker.
The boy band suffered the devastating loss of their bandmate who died in March 2022 after a brave battle with brain cancer.
The Wanted formed in 2009 but hit the big time with their release of debut single All Time Low in 2010.
The boyband enjoyed huge success in both the UK and US, going on an indefinite hiatus in 2014.
Former Strictly star Max is in a relationship with award-winning EastEnders star Maisie Smith.
