Married company boss and female executive quit after being filmed getting ‘frisky’ following online meeting

A MARRIED company boss and a female exec have quit after being filmed in a “compromising situation” following a video meeting for staff.

CEO Rupert Pleasant and his senior colleague, also married, failed to realise they were still being recorded on a computer screen in the boardroom.

As well as getting “frisky”, they criticised and gossiped about colleagues at the Channel Islands-based company Guernsey Finance.

The embarrassing footage was then sent around the company — so those who missed the session could catch up later.

One source said: “Everyone was shocked. They were caught in a compromising position, to put it lightly.”

Another posted: “Email sent to staff who did not attend to watch the video.

“Swiftly followed by ‘NO don’t watch the video and come see HR if you have’.”

Mr Pleasant, who met King Charles on a royal visit last year, resigned as soon as he learned of the footage, believed to have been sent out last week.

A local near his multi-million pound four-bed home on the island said: “He’s not been seen for a few days now.”

The female involved, who we are not naming, confirmed an investigation was ongoing at the company, which markets the island’s financial services and is partially funded by the public.

Her husband added: “People are filling in the blanks. It is a very difficult time. I am standing by her.”

Acting CEO Barnaby Molloy said the incident fell “significantly short of the standards we expect”, and the individuals are “no longer employed by Guernsey Finance”.

He added: “Any conversations and actions were clearly intended to be private; the behaviour and opinions expressed do not reflect those of our organisation.

“This matter is undoubtedly embarrassing for the individuals involved.”
