MARRIED At First Sight bride Leisha has broken her social media silence after her emotional split from husband Reiss.
The pair called time on their whirlwind romance and were reunited on the most recent episode of the hit E4 programme.
Taking to Instagram last night, Leisha reflected on her relationship with her now ex, saying she “gave everything I had”.
“I walked into this marriage with an open heart and pure intentions,” she explained.
“I gave everything I had love, effort, patience and understanding but sometimes even your best isn’t enough for someone who isn’t ready to receive it.
“Once we left the apartments, I felt the coldness and distance set in, and deep down I knew something wasn’t as it seemed.”
Leisha said that Reiss “seemed happy and intimate”, but would say she was ‘too much’ when asking for “emotional connection”.
She added, “Marriage takes commitment, honesty, and hard work but when temptation calls, some forget what their vows were built on.
“I truly believed our core values were strong enough to carry us through, but in the end, it wasn’t given the chance to grow.”
Leisha added, “I was left to pick up the pieces of a heart that only ever wanted to love.
“This experience has taught me that my worth is not defined by someone else’s ability to value it. I may have lost him, but in the process, I found me.”
Fans flocked to the post’s comments with support as one wrote, “You should be so proud of how you’ve carried yourself.”
A second said, “Love you, it’s been a rough ride but your smashing it.”
While a third replied, “You deserve so much more.”
Viewers were left sobbing as the two came together in the reunion episode as Leisha broke down in tears at the table.
“Not me crying with you. You done great gal,” one fan commented.
“I hope you both find the happiness you deserve x keep being you and shine bright gutted it didn’t work out for you,” said another.
Detailing their split, Leisha told E4 cameras: “When we left the experiment, I was worried that I was into the marriage more than Reiss was.
“But we both worked hard to make it work.”
Reiss revealed: “Since leaving the experiment, Leisha came down to see me and then I went up to Scotland.
“We had some cracking times and she is a beautiful girl inside and out. But sadly we couldn’t make our marriage work and I haven’t seen Leisha since it ended.”
Leisha continued in her VT: “I am devastated that my marriage with Reiss hasn’t worked out. I still love Reiss, I think about him everyday.”
She then broke down in tears and said: “I’m just feeling really sad, I really wanted it to work. I put my heart and soul into it, it just wasn’t reciprocated.”
