MARRIED At First Sight fans have slammed Sarah for “fat-shaming” new husband Dean on their honeymoon.
The recruitment consultant, 31, tied the knot with team building host Dean, 31, after meeting for the first time at the aisle.
But Sarah instantly knew Dean wasn’t the man for her – branding him “over the top” and saying she “didn’t fancy him” or want to “rip his clothes off”.
In a preview clip ahead of tomorrow’s episode, the pair head off on their honeymoon but it didn’t take Sarah to make her feelings clear.
Dean can be seen laughing around and singing at dinner.
But his urge to perform begins to get under Sarah’s skin.
Speaking to the camera, she says: “The outburst of song and rapping is beginning to grate on me.”
Sarah then confesses that she has never dated anyone as “big” as Dean, which comes as a huge blow to him.
During their date night, Dean asked: “Have you been with anyone bigger than me?”
Sarah bluntly replied: “No,” as she repeatedly shook her head.
A devastated Dean admitted: “It’s hard to hear, that has left me feeling empty.”
E4 viewers have slammed Sarah for her cruel delivery.
One wrote: “If Dean was covered in tattoos, she still wouldn’t like him because of his weight. Let’s be real, she just doesn’t want to admit it. It’s sad because he already deserves better.”
A second posted: “Sarah is definitely judging his weight though because there’s nothing wrong with his appearance.”
A third commented: “Dean saying he’s had exes asking him to loose weight and the first thing Sarah asks is does he hit the gym, terrific pairing as always ‘experts’.”
Another added: “I hate the way people view anyone with a bit of weight on MAFS. The way they treated Emma and Polly last year And now Dean… its actually so cruel. Please at least treat him nicely even if you don’t like him.”
MAFS viewers were quick to hit out at Sarah and her friends for cruelly snubbing her husband at the altar.
The experts matched her with hopeful romantic Dean, 31, who wanted to sweep his wife off his feet by being a gentleman.
As he nervously walked down the aisle, he was greeted with bemused expressions from the bride’s family.
He waved to the bridesmaids, but was met with a frosty reception, as they appear to ignore him and look away.
Sarah’s friend Caitlin told the camera: “Looks are very important to Sarah and he is definitely not Sarah’s type.
“But in the past Sarah hasn’t always chosen the right sort of guy, so I think it’s a good thing.”
Dean anxiously waited for his bride to arrive, but as soon as Sarah saw him she looked less than impressed.
Meanwhile Dean gushed “this is the woman for me” as the smitten lad paid her a number of compliments.
But Sarah had her reservations and told the producers: “No, I don’t fancy Dean. So sorry.”
Feltham lad Dean had something extra special up his sleeve.
He performed a rap at the altar but it didn’t go down well with his new wife or her family, who were left cringing.
Mafs couples that have stood the test of time
Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.
The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.
Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.
Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.
Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”
Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.
Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.
“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.
“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’
“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”
Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.
Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.
They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.
Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
