IF you’re looking for some freebies to bag in March, there are loads that you might already be owed.
Here are some of the best options to scoop up for March 2026, as picked out by The Sun’s bargain-hunting Head of Technology.
FREE FOOD & DRINK
First up this month is a free Gregg’s sausage roll – and who can argue with that?
It’s included for O2 customers as part of the Blue Mondays promotion on the Priority app.
You can go in and claim the deal throughout March, letting you bag your treat from Greggs without paying a penny.
If you don’t fancy the sausage roll, you can also opt for a triple chocolate muffin or a caramel custard doughnut.
Another freebie coming courtesy of O2 is a free 12-month membership to Tastecard.
This gets you two-for-one meals or 25 per cent off loads of restaurants across the UK.
And as a member, you’ll also bag a £10 eGift card that you can spend at chains that include Ask Italian, Prezzo, Zizzi, and Frankie & Benny’s.
All O2 customers are able to access the Priority app, so it’s worth checking out.
Another food freebie comes courtesy of Sky.
If you’re a Sky customer – whether that’s TV, broadband or mobile – you get access to the Sky VIP membership team.
Just go into the MySky app, and you’ll be able to see your rewards.
And one of those rewards is a free weekly treat that’s usually from Sainsbury’s, often from the Taste the Difference range.
It resets every Wednesday, but you’ll need to redeem each week’s code by Monday and use it by Tuesday at the latest.
The reward at the time of writing was a bag of LOVE CORN corn snacks, but we’ve also seen pizzas and muffins dished out in the past.
So check back each week to get your freebie code.
And lastly, John Lewis is continuing its offer for a free hot drink and a slice of cake.
It’s available as a sign-up bonus for the My John Lewis app, which costs nothing to join.
You can claim the reward in the app, and then scan the offer at John Lewis & Partners cafes to get your freebie.
Just make sure that you have your QR code ready at the checkout.
It’s also worth mentioning that Vodafone customers can bag a 12-month membership to Eat Local for free.
You can get that via Vodafone’s free VeryMe Rewards app.
And it gets you two-for-one meals and 25 per cent off at restaurants.
FREE DAYS OUT
If you’re looking for free cinema tickets, Sky is still dishing them out in March 2026.
They’re available to anyone with an active Sky Cinema subscription.
And you’ll be able to claim a free pair of Vue cinema tickets inside the MySky app.
However, it’s worth noting that you can also get discounted or two-for-one tickets from the likes of Amazon (at Odeon via Prime), Three (at Cineworld via Three+) and Vodafone (at Odeon via VeryMe Rewards).
And it’s not quite a freebie, but Virgin Media O2 customers can get 25 per cent off Virgin Experience Days.
Again, you’ll need to go into the Priority app to claim this discount.
But there’s loads of stuff on there, including comedy nights, stadium tours, train trips, aquariums, and so much more.
Another option is English Heritage, which is 25 per cent off with Three+ for Three customers.
Again, you’ll have to pay for the discounted membership, but then you’ll get free access to over 400 sites, and you can bring up to six children under 18 in for free, too.
Vodafone also offers free Kids Pass memberships through VeryMe Rewards, which cuts the price of hundreds of UK attractions by 50 per cent. That includes aquariums, museums, and theme parks.
FREE TV
Before I get into the free TV, it’s worth pointing out an absolute belter of a telly deal from Sky that went live recently.
The company is currently offering a massive discount on Now TV, which gets you Sky channels plus the upcoming HBO Max service.
And there’s currently an offer that slashes the monthly price of a Now TV Entertainment subscription from £9.99 to £2.99 for the first 12 months.
That means you’re saving about £84 over the course of a year.
Anyway, if you’re looking for totally free TV, you’ve got a few options from FAST apps.
That stands for free ad-supported streaming television – so you get the TV (including live channels, plus on-demand movies and TV shows) without paying a penny in exchange for watching ads.
Here are some of your best options:
- Tubi
- Pluto TV
- Plex
- Xumo Play
- Rakuten TV
- Samsung TV Plus
There’s a good chance that your TV, streaming gadget, or mobile device will support at least a few of these.
The big freebie for March 2026 comes courtesy of Sky.
Sky is still dishing out free Discovery+ as part of its regular TV bundle, but has now expanded its offering to wrap HBO Max and Disney+ into most plans for free, too.
As well as that, if you’ve got a Sky Cinema subscription, you’ll also get Paramount+ for free.
Another great option comes courtesy of Apple.
Apple just announced two more “affordable” gadgets: the iPhone 17e (for £599) and its cheapest laptop ever, the £599 MacBook Neo.
And if you plan to buy either of those, you’ll get three months of Apple TV+ included totally for free.
Normally, that would cost you £9.99 a month, so you’re saving £29.97.
Just go into the Apple TV app within the first three months of setting up the device to claim the freebie.
Some EE customers can bag Apple TV for free (just check your app add-ons).
And if you have a Club Lloyds account, you’ll be able to get a free Disney+ membership for a full year.
You have to pay a £5 monthly fee for the account, but it’s refunded every month that you pay in £2,000 or more.
O2 customers can still get free Disney+ too, with three months on offer for Classic Plans and six months for Plus plans.
And if you’re on an Unlimited plan, you get Disney+ for the full term of your plan.
FREE GAMES
Your first port of call each month for free games should be Amazon.
If you have an Amazon Prime subscription, then you get access to free games in several ways.
Firstly, Amazon dishes out monthly games for you to keep. These are typically available for PC, and they’re yours forever – even if you later decide to quit Amazon Prime.
The catch is that this is a rolling offer, so once we hit April, the March selection will vanish and you can no longer claim them.
So it’s important to check on Amazon’s Luna gaming website each month.
Usually, the batch is worth somewhere between £100 and £250 each month, but it can vary.
For March 2026, the free games to claim include:
- TinyTina’s Assault on Dragon’s Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot (Mar. 5, Epic Games Store)
- Tattoo Tycoon (Mar. 5, Epic Games Store)
- Siege of Avalon (Mar. 5, GOG Code)
- Total War: Rome II – Emperor Edition (Mar. 12, Epic Games Store)
- Turmoil (Mar. 12, Epic Games Store)
- Veil of Darkness (Mar. 12, GOG Code)
- Mahokenshi – The Samurai Deckbuilder (Mar. 12, GOG Code)
- Sir Questionnaire (Mar. 19, GOG Code),
- Rebel Galaxy (Mar. 19, GOG Code)
- Total War: Three Kingdoms (Mar. 26, Epic Games Store)
- Chimp Quest: Spirit Isle (Mar. 26, Legacy Games Code)
- Phantasie Memorial Set (Mar. 26, GOG Code),
- Deep Sky Derelicts (Mar. 26, Amazon Games App)
As well as that, Amazon has a service called Luna, which normally costs £8.99 a month.
This lets you stream games over the internet – a bit like watching TV on an app – so you don’t actually need a physical console. You just need a joypad.
But if you have a Prime membership, you get over 50 games for free, including the smash-hit Harry Potter title Hogwarts Legacy.
And half of the 50 games are “GameNight” titles, which are designed to be played together in your living room, with your phones working as controllers.
Another option comes via Netflix, specifically the Netflix Games service.
There are two elements to this.
The first is on the TV version of Netflix, which has loads of party games like Pictionary and Boggle.
And you can play them with family or pals by using your smartphones as controllers.
The second is on the mobile version of Netflix, which grants you access to premium games via your regular App Store.
One of the big recent additions to this service was Red Dead Redemption, which is a critically acclaimed title from Grand Theft Auto makers Rockstar Games.
Netflix Games doesn’t cost a penny over your regular subscription, so it’s worth checking out.
And as usual, here’s our rolling list of free games that are great options all year round.
Here are some of the best free mobile games that will keep you hooked for hundreds of hours:
- League of Legends: Wild Rift (mobile version of League of Legends)
- Diablo Immortal (RPG)
- Polytopia (4X strategy game)
- Hearthstone (deck-building card game)
- OldSchool RuneScape (massively multiplayer online RPG)
- Kingdom Rush (tower defence)
And here are some great free console and PC titles too:
- Fortnite (multiplayer shooter)
- Roblox (metaverse world-building game)
- Genshin Impact (RPG)
- The Sims 4 (simulation)
- Fall Guys (party-royale obstacle course game)
- League of Legends (multiplayer online battle arena)
- Overwatch 2 (multiplayer shooter)
- Rocket League (football, but with rocket-powered cars)
- World of Warcraft Classic (if you have an existing World of Warcraft retail subscription)
You can also get access to more than 200 premium games (without ads or microtransactions) via the Apple Arcade service.
And if you’ve got the right EE plan, you’ll get six months of Arcade for free. Alternatively, you get three months for free with a new iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, or Mac.
