MANSFIELD have poked fun at Arsenal’s corner supremacy in a social media jibe ahead of the Gunners’ visit to Field Hill on Saturday.
Mikel Arteta’s set-piece kings take on Mansfield in the FA Cup fifth round as they look to continue their quadruple charge.
Arsenal have been dominant from set-pieces this season, scoring 16 goals from corners alone in the Premier League.
Arteta’s side, who have been labelled “Set-piece FC”, have been criticised for their reliance on dead-ball situations and now League One Mansfield have piled in ahead of the cup clash.
The Mansfield TikTok account posted a video set to a song that repeatedly used the word “Khona,” which sounds like “corner,” alongside the caption: “POV: You play Arsenal in two days.”
The video featured clips of the Mansfield corner flag and quarter-circle, and even took a swipe at Arteta’s touchline antics.
A clip of a pitchside sign that read, “Please keep off the grass,” was overlaid with the message “Mr. Arteta, please keep off the grass.”
Arteta is known to be animated on the sideline and is often spotted edging out of his technical area.
Arsenal fans saw the funny side of Mansfield’s cheeky dig and took to the comments section to react.
One wrote: “Even League One sides have beef with us.”

And another added: “As an Arsenal fan, this is so funny. Good luck to you, Mansfield!”
Arsenal supporters are growing used to criticism of their team this season with managers, pundits and ex-pros all hurling criticism at the Gunners’ “ugly” style of play.
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes said no trophy should be awarded because their style of football has not been exciting enough.
Alan Pardew sensationally claimed that Arsenal will have “an asterisk next to their name” due to their tactics if they win the league title.
And Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler said that “only one team tried to play football” when Arsenal beat the Seagulls 1-0 on Wednesday night.
Arsenal have the opportunity to silence their critics once again with a victory over Mansfield on Saturday.
Should the Gunners get the better of Nigel Clough’s Stags, they will be one step closer to becoming the first team in England to win a historic quadruple.
Arteta’s men are seven points clear in the Premier League, into the last 16 of the Champions League, face Man City in the Carabao Cup final this month and would earn a spot in the FA Cup quarter-finals with a victory over Mansfield.
