MANCHESTER UNITED return to Old Trafford this weekend licking their wounds from an awful defeat at Brentford.
After a morale boosting win against Chelsea the week before, United were awful against the Bees and lost 3-1.
Bruno Fernandes missed a penalty that would have made it 2-2, leaving United still unable to secure consecutive victories – a record that dates back to May 2024.
United now sit down in 14th just three points off the drop zone, leaving Ruben Amorim under tremendous pressure.
Sunderland, in stark contrast, have enjoyed a magnificent start to the season and are 5th in the Premier League after a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
That places them not only ahead of the likes of Manchester United, but Man City and Chelsea.
Regis Le Bris’ team already have 11 points from their six matches and have suffered just one defeat all season.
