Neville thinks United star wants out

Gary Neville has raised doubt about Andre Onana’s future amid the club’s pursuit of Senne Lammens.

The Belgian is being looked at as a No.2 but Neville believes United’s desperate search for a new keeper has likely demoralised Onana.

He told NBC Sports: “I’ve been asking around about that one this morning and spoke to a few people at United.

“The feeling is the new boy coming in would probably be a No. 2 who would start on the bench, but they absolutely do need a No. 1.

“Bayindir came in last week but he makes a lot of mistakes. Now that Onana knows United have been scouting around Europe for a new goalkeeper and replacement for him, his confidence must be shot at and he must be thinking he wants to get out.”

Hojlund absent from matchday squad

Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has once again been omitted from the squad for today’s game at Fulham.

Napoli are still working on a deal to sign Hojlund and are hopeful they can come to an agreement with United and the player.

Napoli are exploring a loan with an obligation. Both United and Hojlund prefer a permanent element attached to any deal.

Hojlund is open to the idea of joining Napoli as they can offer Champions League football.

Amorim discusses Sesko omission

Ruben Amorim has revealed Benjamin Sesko is still understanding Man Utd’s system which he why he has been named on the bench once again.

The Red Devils boss said: “We try to imagine what is going to happen during the game. Our game needs to be consistent, the way we control the game. We need to have options to play a different game from the bench.

“Sesko has had two weeks with us so it’s trying to understand everything.

“I try to understand how these small things are for the player. I talk to the players often and sometimes we need to wait a little bit in order to help the player. We just want to win the game.”
